He is not a patriot, he clearly only supports "some" Americans. Only those that blindly approve of his every move, without question. You cross him once, and you are an enemy. We've seen it time and again. Guys who he should be friends with, at least publicly (Ryan, McConnel, McCain, Bannon), he's stabbed them all in the back. He demands loyalty then he'll stab you in the back.
His attacks on the media are petty and dangerous. He has no integrity, he lies about the littlest things even when there's no discernible gain to doing so. And of course he lies about the biggest things without any conscience. On top of that, he's only out to enrich himself at the expense of the country spending 1/3 of his presidency so far at Trump properties while running up charges that he's billing to taxpayers. Then there are his disgusting views on various genders, races, and everything.
So no, I don't support him, nothing to do with what others tell me. If anything, people excuse his bad behaviors and corruption because Conservative media tell them to. They would have you believe oh he's awful but at least he's our awful so it's ok.

Anyone here remembers old series "Beverly Hills"? I really love one particular episode where a black journalist is told to join some strike like "protect the jew" because she is black and hence must fight against white oppression. Her answer was brilliant: "I am always traveling around the world. I lived and worked in many different countries. Yet, the only country where I constantly reminded of my skin color is my own - US". I would add - "not by white people either". Sometimes I do believe in conspiracy theory. It's like someone out there does everything in his power to make people concentrate on their differences, not similarity. Makes them always fight for "my and my people's", separate them by any means. First of all, let me point out that there are some ways in which white privilege exists universally in America.
Two quick ones that come to mind are:
1. White people don't have to fear fascists to the same extent. Instinctively, nonwhites realize that if fascists come to power their lives and the lives of their loved ones would be immediately forfeit. When those torch-carrying fascists descended on Charlottesville, I'm sure what whites felt was very different from what minorities felt.
2. White people live in a society in which most of the people look like them. This goes for every aspect of culture and politics. While we say that everyone should be colorblind, the truth is that this has quite a bearing on the psyche of many.
And there are other ways in addition to those.
But the problem with privilege theory in the greater scheme of things is that you create a society in which groups seek advancement and "social justice" on the basis of their own identity (chosen or otherwise) and this is a problem as it pertains to the vast amount of intersectionality. For instance, as a white man I am privileged over a white woman. And many feminists see themselves as being worse off than myself. But as an LGBTQ person, this no longer holds true...in fact, much of the "hate" that LGBTQ people have had to deal with come from women (Kim Davis, for example). There is even a subset of feminists that won't allow transgendered into their ranks on the basis of them being born with a penis.
But what if one is black but light-skinned and straight? Or what if a person is white but non-WASP? Some liberals have gotten around this with a so-called "privilege chart", in which each social aspect of an individual is given "points" based on the degree of privilege. It's insane.
Basically the whole point, as orchestrated by the 1%, is to divide and conquer. The truth is that the oligarchs want the working classes completely divided. They want a climate in which the struggle is based on one's perceived membership to a group within a group as opposed to class-struggle in which society is clearly divided (those who control capital and the means that produce it, and those that do not). By fostering division within proletarian ranks, the upper-classes/political classes stifle class-consciousness in exchange for some other type of "consciousness" (note that white nationalists and black nationalists refer to being "awake" or "woke").
And this is why the fascists who march with torches might as well come gift-wrapped for the bourgeoisie. And the media plays right along. Anything racial is national news as it pertains to the reactionism of white working class elements. Seeing as how the white working class are a plurality of the working class as a whole, it behooves the ruling class to isolate them from other working class oppressed, hence the convenience of white racist elements and the dissemination of identity politics.
Literal or not, how could you ever build a functioning democracy if the premise is that a whole bunch of people "deserve a bullet" first? Whose life is improved by calling people you know next to nothing about useless virtue signallers?
There are some horrible injustices in this world, and it's frustrating to the point of madness to try to find a way to rid the world of them. But I have yet to see an example where this black and white kind of talk ever led to anything good. The RNC is abosolutely crushing the democrats in fund raising these past few quarters, but especially among small dollar donors. It's striking how little of the new grassroots energy in this country is going towards the Democratic Party. I don't think the working classes need or want racial discrimination against them, a border policy that steals from the poor to give to the rich, to be told nonstop of their inherent "privelege". Nor would they want a communist revolution and bullets put into liberals and fascists.

The money that the Federal Government budgeted for the Secret Service is out and they will have to pull money from elsewhere to pay for the rest of the year.
That equates to either a larger deficit than planned (most probable) or cuts elsewhere. The descrepency will probably be adjusted in next years budget which will either cut costs elsewhere or increase the Federal budget (increased taxes).
This is also ignoring the main corruption point of Trump milking the government services to line his own pockets.

That has always been the case, Republicans out fundraising Democrats. But it's not grassroots lol, Bernie's campaign was grassroots. Billionaire Koch brothers, Mercers, Goldman Sachs, and others are not grassroots. According to politifact, in 2012 of 40 billionaire families 29 gave to Republicans. Conservatives hide their money spending 5x Democrats on their non-profits. Yeah Republicans are not at all even a little bit grassroots. How many town halls have Republicans attended? As few as possible.
The Republicans have always been the party of the elites, wall street, big business and the military industrial complex. That's why they can out fundraise Democrats thanks to citizens united the Koch brothers can drop hundreds of millions on bribing Republican politicians, news media, and activists and save trillions in tax breaks.

You're privileged, bourgeois, first world white boyz who care only about virtue signalling and such so you can play your little computer games while over half the world starves. And that's the truth. For you, politics is an opium the same way religion is an opium to poor people, so they can do their so-called "sin" but go to church so they don't have to feel so guilty about it. You don't give two shits about the poor or underprivileged, only about feeling good about yourselves. You are totally useless.
And one more question - what about rich people of color? There are many. More snobbish then white I would say.
You have to loose one or the other - either "rich people are bad, period" or "all whites are bad".
Anyone here remembers old series "Beverly Hills"? I really love one particular episode where a black journalist is told to join some strike like "protect the jew" because she is black and hence must fight against white oppression. Her answer was brilliant: "I am always traveling around the world. I lived and worked in many different countries. Yet, the only country where I constantly reminded of my skin color is my own - US". I would add - "not by white people either".
Sometimes I do believe in conspiracy theory. It's like someone out there does everything in his power to make people concentrate on their differences, not similarity. Makes them always fight for "my and my people's", separate them by any means. Of which skin color is the most obvious, of course.
First of all, let me point out that there are some ways in which white privilege exists universally in America.
1. White people don't have to fear fascists to the same extent. Instinctively, nonwhites realize that if fascists come to power their lives and the lives of their loved ones would be immediately forfeit. When those torch-carrying fascists descended on Charlottesville, I'm sure what whites felt was very different from what minorities felt.
2. White people live in a society in which most of the people look like them. This goes for every aspect of culture and politics. While we say that everyone should be colorblind, the truth is that this has quite a bearing on the psyche of many.
And there are other ways in addition to those.
But what if one is black but light-skinned and straight? Or what if a person is white but non-WASP? Some liberals have gotten around this with a so-called "privilege chart", in which each social aspect of an individual is given "points" based on the degree of privilege. It's insane.
Basically the whole point, as orchestrated by the 1%, is to divide and conquer. The truth is that the oligarchs want the working classes completely divided. They want a climate in which the struggle is based on one's perceived membership to a group within a group as opposed to class-struggle in which society is clearly divided (those who control capital and the means that produce it, and those that do not). By fostering division within proletarian ranks, the upper-classes/political classes stifle class-consciousness in exchange for some other type of "consciousness" (note that white nationalists and black nationalists refer to being "awake" or "woke").
And this is why the fascists who march with torches might as well come gift-wrapped for the bourgeoisie. And the media plays right along. Anything racial is national news as it pertains to the reactionism of white working class elements. Seeing as how the white working class are a plurality of the working class as a whole, it behooves the ruling class to isolate them from other working class oppressed, hence the convenience of white racist elements and the dissemination of identity politics.
There are some horrible injustices in this world, and it's frustrating to the point of madness to try to find a way to rid the world of them. But I have yet to see an example where this black and white kind of talk ever led to anything good. People often just seem to lose track of the injustices themselves in their dedicated hate for the ones who cause them (or are perceived to cause them).
While Storm is correct that there's a war for the soul of the Democrats, there's one for the Republicans as well. Bannon was a good rep for what the new right men and women want. Non interventionism, moderate on social matters, economic nationalism, etc. None of this is typical neocon war mongering money grabbing "conservative", which is the direction that seems to be winning, one of the many reasons im not Pro Trump.
Communism makes more sense to me then liberalism personally. At least Communism speaks in class distinctions, which matter, rather than racial and gender distinctions, which matter far less and innately produce tribalism. But no communist nation state has ever worked well, so theres that.
By the way, if you want to try and get people to adopt your worldview then insulting them is definitely *not* the way to accomplish that goal. Also, since you seem to be interested only in parroting communist ideology--an ideology which has never worked any time it has been tried--I can dismiss you without a second thought. I hope you aren't expecting responses if you reply to this because I am afraid you will be disappointed.

That equates to either a larger deficit than planned (most probable) or cuts elsewhere. The descrepency will probably be adjusted in next years budget which will either cut costs elsewhere or increase the Federal budget (increased taxes).
This is also ignoring the main corruption point of Trump milking the government services to line his own pockets.
The Republicans have always been the party of the elites, wall street, big business and the military industrial complex. That's why they can out fundraise Democrats thanks to citizens united the Koch brothers can drop hundreds of millions on bribing Republican politicians, news media, and activists and save trillions in tax breaks.
Democrats sold their souls and became more corporate friendly under Clinton. But it's kind of clear with that approach you just wind up with slightly more socially liberal corporate stooges than you get from Republicans. Rather than go for watered down Republicans, our gerrymandered country went full Republican and look at the mess we are in. You never go full Republican!
