What will your first BG:EE character be?

I believe I will begin with a Lawful Good, Male, Aasimar, Paladin, and I'm thinking of using sword and shield as opposed to two-handed swords (I'll leave that to Minsc ;)

I also am unsure if Paladin sub-classes will be available? If so, Paladin of Lathander.

I was always fond of paladins and they seemed the perfect class to play through the BG saga :)

    You're thinking of the Icewinde Dale II version of the Infinity Engine, my friend. BG:EE is running on the ToB version of the engine. That means no aasimar or Paladins of Lathander.

    As for the topic at hand, I'll be going with either a human or half-orc Blackguard for multiplayer. Not sure if male or female yet.

    Human male Blackguard for single player.

    My first character when I was 15 in 1998 was a half elf ranger. I think I'll do that again.

    You know, when I was young back in the 90's I would play as a fighter/thief, since I didn't know how to do any magic. I haven't done that since I learned otherwise, but maybe I'll give 8-year old me a salute by making another. :)

    I'll be using my stock standard characters that I played when BG1 was released. Fighter, Paladin, etc. Also a Bard and FMT for two solo games. Then I'll start to experiment after that.

    A human male, as always.

    Class: Paladin or NG/LG Fighter. I will be using a two-handed sword or a 1h + shield, likely a sword.

    Trent said somewhere that they are adding clubs to the game so i might go with kensai or blade with clubs.. never used them before but if there are new ones they might be worth it

    Might go for CG or CN ranger. I tend to stick to melee classes too much, and ive still ideas about playing a mage class but Im gonna use the new Wild Mage NPC probably

    Thinking of a neutral good Human Cleric of Lathander, or a Dwarven Lawful Good Fighter/Cleric of Lathander. Never had a cleric as my main character before. Worried about Neera not fancying dwarves though, as per usual.
    After that, a neutral evil female Human Assassin. Dig my claws into that sexy dark half-orc.

    My very first vanilla run-through of bgee will be with the canon party, so i will make a CN Human Fighter named Abdel.

    But my second and third playthroughs will be for experimentations.

    I've always really played bards, unless I wanted Garrick or Eldoth on my team. I think for the first time round, I'll be playing as a skald, never played as one before! :P

    Very possibly a human cleric with a kit. Don't know yet which.

    Or Avenger druid if I feel special XD

    Cant decide the first one, maybe a Fighter/Mage, since my first character was always a male human mage. The second one will be a Female Paladin for sure. She might even be first if I can romance Neera with her.

    I normally just play a human fighter -- with 5 party members, I get my kicks in the spellslinging department easily enough, and the game only ends if CHARNAME dies, so I tend to just make him the most survivable possible. While I like paladins, I want a varied party (including both Edwin and Viconia), which kind of clashes with the class.

    Might play through with a half-orc just for the novelty of being able to start with 19 Str, 18 Dex, 19 Con, though.

    I will probably be a Ranger with a focus on bow, Half-elf or human, and racial enemy being ettercap. Or possibly a full elven mage, not sure what school. Or a half-orc or dwarven cleric. It sounds as if there may even be some new class choices... it may take me a while to decide, but I want to save my decisions for when I have the game, that's part of the fun. :)

    I'm not certain yet. I've wanted to use the Archer build, so I may go that route and rain death upon evil. So many choices! Which is the appeal of the game, no?

    Probably a TN half-elven skald will be my first BG:EE char, although I'm also thinking about a half-elven cleric of Helm / sorcerer / blackguard (may end-up with 3-4 simultaneous games using different PCs and party set-ups).
