    Intended. Comp 250 edits CLSWPBON.2da to give every class access to spec-based APR bonuses. (It should, anyway.) So APR on Spec is not necessary.

    After doing a bit more testing with various set ups, it seems it is not modifying CLSWPBON.2da, at least not in the way Comp 270 does (for me anyway). It is easy enough to fix with IE (or even notepad), though could be worth looking into it.

    On another note, I never ran into the problems with installing SCS, though I've only been playing SoB on EE.

    I think there somehow is a problem with mirror image and mage armor. Imoen can't cast Mage Armor, despite having it memorized, and Mirror Image does not show up in the spell book when learned from a scroll. Imoen was not able to cast it from either.

    Edit: Mirror Image is level 3 now? I guess that explains why Imoen can't cast her level 2 version of it.

    Edit II: oh yeah, and unlike earlier versions I can only cast one Contingency per day. Is this intended behaviour?

    Edit III: When turning Yoshimo into a Swashbuckler his AC bonus is too high. Jaheira also has proficiency in bow that she can't use.

    Hello Subtledoctor,

    I checked out SoB v3 and immediately found a bug on BGEE - tome of spellbinder is usable only by mage/thief multiclass.

    Yes, spellbender, my mistake.
    I checked again and I am sure it is not spellfilcher (though it is easy to confuse the two :smile: )

    I am yet to test spellbender, so it is kind of hard to say how strong it is. However I doubt that priest that can exchange , for example, 6 lvl divine spell for 5 lvl arcane spell will be overpowered. The only thing comes to mind is combining divine buffs with improved haste and stoneskin. And maybe antimagic.

    Just noticed the monk fists are named "The weather is so hot and humid here... 'tis the bane of sailing, I suppose, but all in all, I'd rather be back in Waterdeep." I thought that it had maybe been messed up during the installation of one of my mods, but I used NI to view the mfist items in the SoB setup folder and they had the same name?

    I have a curious question.
    How does SoB handle triple multiclass? Does mage reach 9 lvl spells? Or get mage HLA?

    Hello,

    First as a mod creator for other games: well done! This represents a huge amount of work, so thank you for persevering and sharing it with us. I'm having a few issues with the mod:

    1. Bows. I'm currently a level 6 warrior/Mage with 1 pip in bows, but my short bows are all doing only 1 apr. Do bows only do 1 apr now? With their low damage, they are incredibly slow and weak. I've read through all the posts, but I don't see any documentation on lowering apr to 1 for short bows.

    2. Bladeslinger kit: is allowed to choose pips in non useable weapons (great swords) as well as going over 1 pip in ranged weapons. I was good and followed the rules, but it's there. Also, I can't put more than three pips in curved weapons though I'm supposed to get GM. Is this dictated by levels? Also, the bladesong is only give .5 apr not 1.

    3. I keep getting the Barl text from Mazzy's quest in Trademeet coming up whenever I pause the game.

    I am really enjoying the mod in spite of these little glitches :)

    Apart from the things listed in the previous post (the bow and bladesinger things) I found the hard way that the new moved versions of shield and mirror image couldn't be cast by my bladesinger :) I don't know why cause they scribe themselves at the level you intended (shield - lvl2, mirror image lvl 3) and can be memorised, even show the indicator of trying to be cast on myself, but nothing ever happens.
    I'm playing some more to see if there is anything else i find that is wrong.

    Following up on the previous post (and my earlier one): sometimes my BS will attack with a bow but nothing happens: i.e. the bow shooting animation occurs but no arrow is launched and no sound is made.

    One more thing regarding ranged weapons: 1 pip gives you .5 apr in slings and x bows...I think this is taking things too far. As a level 1-4 thief, aside from hardly being able to hit anything, now I have to spend a lot of time doing it. This has really slowed the game down in my opinion. I literally have to spend several minutes or more running around the map trying to kill a kobold for 7xp. I understand the intent here, but this turns ranged weaponry into a giant time sink. Try killing a carrion crawler for example or any paralyzing enemy. You can't engage them in melee, but now trying a hit and run on them is so utterly boring and frustrating that I'm considering scrapping the whole proficiency system (which is mostly awesome) over it. I'm currently on minute four of a C.C. fight, and it's only injured.

    Sir Doctor,

    You are a very civilized person, thank you. Personally, as did the Romans, I prefer sword and shield, but it's good to have the archer around for things that can end your hardcore run. I'm not too proud to flee and fire pointy sticks when necessary :)

    Regarding the text thing, perhaps it's another mod, though I've run the same lineup before without it. Let me investigate it and if I can't fix it, I'll get back to you. I don't want to send you on a wild goose chase that may have more to do with someone else's mod than yours!

    The bow thing may have been due to apr, I think. It's as if the game was behaving graphically under the old bow rules, but was implementing the bugged ones.

    Regarding the Blademaster, it's an intriguing kit but it definitely has the three issues: 1. missile weapons can be upgraded as can supposed non useable weapon types 2. cant get mastery or gm in bladed weapons 3. special ability only adds 1 apr.

    Also, the apr fix isn't working. I've still got 1 apr for a bladesinger 1 pip in bows :(

    I'm playing only with bg2 tweaks, scaleos of balance, rogue rebalancing (for the bard spell progression and thieving racials) and atweaks - with only a few options installed from every and almost all of your mod. And I am usng your version 3.1 - still it was odd to see the spells changed.
    One more thing i noticed - when i hover over Berserker rage there is no text apart from the quick use key that corresponds (in my case it looks like this --> "F2:")

    (on the other hand I may have just had some old save with a previous version. i gotta check)

    Another funny thing. I cannot dual class my berserker to anything - the option is grayed out. It worked ok with the earlier version - or maybe i screwed sth up?

    Hi I have been add mods to Baldur's Gate 2 like a mad man. Or at lest I was, I am trying to act more reasonable and make sure I want the mods and to check if they are up to date.

    This is where SoB comes in: After uninstalling and older version of Sob and the newest one I tried to reinstall Sword Coast Stratagem, which failed do to missing classes.

    After checking the character creator I found out that the cleric classes, the thieves class and the bard classes have broken kits. The paladin class also retained the sob changes post uninstallment.

    Anyone know how I can fix the kits or advice on what to do?

    Somehow I knew that... Thank god its easier to uninstall/reinstall BG2 then doing the same to any bg2 mod.

    and for the thing with not working dual classes - it works. I just was dumb enough to not remember that i need the bg2tweaks component for dualclassing non-humans :) silly me :)

    Also, that wierd Baldur's Gate 2 text appearing was an updated version of another mod, not yours!
