I forgot where, but I remember the tunnelrat being available to any "subterranian dwelling race". So by that logic Gnomes and Dwarves would be fair game.
But I forgot where I read that exactly so I cant provide a source.
Just found it its in the Complete Book of Humanoids. However, its a rogue kit (not a fighter kit like the halfling one). The halfling one also doesn't have a space between "Tunnel" and "Rat", for whatever reason.
Interesting. Apparently there are a few varieties of tunnelrats. Yet none of them seem to be actual rats... weird
@elminster you should do whatever you wants (its your mod!) but in case you are looking for further source material I found something on my harddrive from back when I played pen and paper. This is for 3rd edition obviously, being that it is a prestige class. It is for "Any subterranean-dwelling race, not larger than a dwarf." It seems to be mostly for thieves, rangers and occasionally fighters judging from the requirements
@elminster Any reason this kit pack is IWD:EE-only? Why not release it for BG:EE as well? (Not to mention vanilla BG2!)
Just curious.
A) That takes time. There may be animation issues related to spells not available in bg series. In otherwords see answer A. C) I could not release it to BGEE etc before IWDEE's release anyways because of NDA (any added spells coming as a result of the EE) D) IWD has hardly any exclusive mods.
Another teaser from Alex: Yes, you can look forward to new kits in the future. Hint: we're working on something that uses new engine functionality that was recently added. We think it will be a lot of fun for the players.
Sooooo... does "new engine functionality" mean kit specific dialogues?

I assume it would be more like incorporating the new opcodes into abilities present in the kit. Stuff like altering their Turn Undead level or some other aspect (like some attack damage type bonuses). But I guess we will have to wait and see.
Was excited for the other kits, but barely any of them are dual/multiclass legal which kinda kills it. Single class anything isn't worth it at all with the new level cap.
I think the kit that I've enjoyed the most is the Avenger. This is a truly powerful and fun kit which is truly versatile and can fill many roles in the party and remains fun the whole time.
For pure optimisation it's hard to go past the skald. I was excited to use the vanilla bard as everyone seems to rave about it but the skald seems to me to be superior in every way when you get down to it.

deltago: Is there any plans of adding more kits to the three released games?
CamDawg: As for future kits, yes, you will see more.
________
Indeed, it would be interesting to see what other new kits will they add to EEs games?

My prediction: A kit with... an improved quickloot button!
- Quick Loot Song, starting from the level 1.
All items on the ground are automatically picked up during the time your bard sings.
At the level 11 all picked items are doubled.
maybe we'll have a kit that goes through walls
