- two digital versions of the vanilla game (GOG),
- bought the BG:EE Steam version when it released
- and about five minutes ago I became the proud owner of digital copies of BG:EE and BG2:EE via GOG
I prefer GOG over Steam especially for modding purposes.
Bought SoA
Lost disks... bought SoA again!
bought ToB + SoA combo pack
bought the "Ultimate Collection"
bought both beamdog versions
One day I'll find them all again... and keep them in one place as the ultimate collection
edit: oh snap! I also bought it on Gog...
I can be a bit of a penny-pincher when it comes to videogames, but I think i have spent more money on these games than every other game combined, which shows how much I love these games
I regret nothing!
The Boxed Version, 5 cds if I'm right.
and the Enhanced.
I later found another copy of Baldur's Gate 2 (and Icewind Dale I) at a Goodwill in decent condition and super cheap. Could not resist.
This was, of course, after I had bought the Enhanced Editions from Beamdog directly, so I now had three copies of Baldur's Gate 2 lying around. (One of which is, admittedly, not mine.)
And just recently, my mother found a boxed edition that contained both Baldur's Gates and their expansions (also at Goodwill). She bought it for my little brother.
The sickness is spreading... >:D
Digital versions from the Gamestop app (it came in a bundle with a bunch of other games)
Enhanced Editions through Beamdog.
Same goes for Icewind Dale.
I think Ill pick them all up on Steam too during the winter sale, Redundancy ftw!
I bought bg2 three times. First time when it was first released. A second time was the one that came with the soundtrack, once the discs were scratched beyond repair. Those CDs again got scratched and crashed to desktop every time I attempted to go into he thieves guild. I bought Throne of Bhaal separately as well. Then of course the EEs.
So 2.5 times
BG1 & TosTC as big boxes, 5dcs & 1
SoA & ToB together as 2 DVDs
Four in 1 box set when I fancied playing again and couldn't bear all the disc swapping.
EE from Steam initially, then I bought a copy from Beamdog intending to mod that one while keeping the Steam as a vanilla fallback.
1 digital SoA from Beamdog rather than Steam.
- Beamdog EE version. (2)
= 2x the series, or 4x a game.
the last 3 i remember (x+1, x+2, x+3) :
infinity engine game Set (Baldur`s Gate, Icewind Dale, Elemental Evil and Placescape)
then Beamdog
and then Steam
i think between 5-7 in total.
