For me there are several, what i like a lot. The cow stealing wyvern as always one of my favourite. In the ToB intro, when the sword bangs before you is hilarious too. I forget out from the polls the SoA intro, but i like that one much too. I chose the BP1 intro, because i never grow weary of watching it.

Some of the links did not work for me today, but I really enjoyed watching the others. A couple things struck me. As much as I like the crisp quality of some of the newer movies, I find I really miss some of the things that were left out of them. Like rats running across your floor when your sleeping. Very odd, as I would not feel the same about any such critters scampering about in real life as I slept. I do really like the new one for resting in the wilderness. I have always loved the wyvern and the cow one as well.

Of the ones listed in your poll, I guess I will go with the old Nashkel one. I can still remember the chill that went through me the first time I saw that one in game. I was really worried about those children. Good stuff.

Thank you for sharing these videos. I miss the old cutscenes and really wish that there was an option you could toggle to get them in EE. Oh well, a phantom bard can dream, can't he?

I can't choose between the BG1 intro (original, but I like the new one too) and Irenicus' Fall. I love both. Thanks for all the links. I haven't seen some of those original movies in years since the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion was so buggy on my old machine that I only managed to finish the content once.

I know it might not be on the list, but in BG2, the cutscene of Irenicus fighting the Shadow Thieves and the Mages after you escape his dungeons is my favorite.

The original opening scene. The desperation ik the poor, normally built bhaal spawn's face. The way the blood crept out if his broken body. The atmosphere. The 'oh shyt he has no bloody chance' feel. It was great.

I love the TOB intro. Always have. It's dramatic, and really sets the scene for TOB.

Closely followed by Wyvern's Cow and that surprised Lumberjack. That movie has the best background quality imho.

The old intro for the Gnoll Stronghold. It is the most "functional" intro in the game, because it shows you where you can find Dynaheir. For a brand new player, it is not obvious that you can walk into the pits, or that you cannot see what is inside them from above, so I have seen quite a few beginners getting confused when they have cleared the entire stronghold and failed to spot Dynaheir.

The BG1's old beginning (sorry, missed the option in the poll. I suck).

I remember when I was 7 (7? 6? I dunno), after my parents decided that I won't play Diablo II anymore, I found the Baldur's Gate's CD at home. 5-discs edition, MacOS. The weirdest part is that... My dad didn't even know the game nor that he ever had it's CDs (that now are nowhere to be found nowadays), but that's another story.

Well, the thing is, that 7 (or 6) years-old-Crevs put the 1st CD on his iMac, installed the game (I knew how to do that type of things since I was 3) and fired up the game. Then a cutscene started... A storm, a tall building in the middle of a city... Lightning strikes. Someone that looks as if he was almost dead gets out of a door, now on the roof. He tries to escape from another man, a giant man on a spiky armor (for a 7-or-6-years-old this means instant awesomeness), but he fails to and the giant-man-on-the-spiky-armor hits him and starts to grab him by his neck, like Darth Vader with Captain Antilles, and then throws his dead body away. The man-who-failed-to-escape's dead body fells to the floor, from the roof of the building. Blood starts to emerge from his body... An entire pool of blood... A trail of blood starts to shape a letter... BALDUR'S GATE... I consider this cutscene to be one of the best introduction movies to a video game (Ps:T's is much better, IwD's is pretty good too, but too long), and definitely my favorite.

I like all of the old scenes, especially the Temple of Bhaal, Durlag's Tower, and the Iron Throne. Each one creates an appropriately dark, foreboding atmosphere for what lies ahead of the party.

This one is tough. I couldn't decide which one I like the best, I finally chose the old intro of BG1. I'll list my favourites:

- TSR logo - this is amazing in itself together with Black Isle logo.
- Old Baldur's Gate intro - dark night with storm, the city looks amazing. Both Sarevok and his victim sound and look great and the memorable quote at the beginning. The end when the name of the game is shown is pure awesomeness, with slightly visible symbol of Bhaal underneath.
- Old Rest in wilderness - night sky with stars, campfire and tent in the wild - awesome. Reminds me of days when I was doing campfires with friends, so nostalgic. We were staying very late at night, watching the stars and talking about the world.
- Cloakwood wyvern - wonderful landscape, the farmer's shock when the wyvern flies with a cow over his head - priceless
- Entering Baldur's Gate city, sunset and sunrise - I love the view on the city. Even though the cutscenes if sunset/sunrise caught me by surprise when I saw them for the first time, I really liked them. They added to the immersion of the whole experience.
- Iron Throne - I love the music in this one, amazing atmosphere with those statues.
- Old Undercity - This place is so grim and dark. All the ruined buildings apart from one, the temple.
- Temple of Bhaal - The final confrontation in such an amazing place.
- Old Baldur's Gate ending - I was in awe when I first saw it. I didn't fully understand it though, I thought all those statues meant all the living creatures in Baldur's Gate city, not the Bhaalspawn (I thought that Sarevok and Charname were the only one). I love how the symbol of Bhaal slowly emereges at the end.
- Balduran Shipwreck - I had goosebumps when I saw it for the first time, uses the same music as the Iron Throne, which is amazing.

I remember when I first saw it (many years ago) I though about dragons. Believe it or not but I expected a dragon. That movie made me very excited and scared a lot.

@bengoshi I guess you didn't speak to Coran then? He made it quite clear you'd run into Wyverns, not dragons. Regardless, meeting Wyverns for the first time is pretty intimidating too as you are never sure how powerful different fantasy games make them.

I will always love the Nashkel one, because like @Ravenslight it sent a chill up my spine. It made you care about that family with just two lines:
"Did you remember to wash your face?"
"I did now nyanya!"

Then they just stab you right in the heart with the kobolds scene. It was sad. I always hoped there was a little sidequest to save that poor child's mother from kobolds. Woulda been a nice touch

If I was to give a top five, 2-5 would be the intro to BG1 (original) because it had Sarevok's epic entrance into my life, the intro and outro to TOB because they were just epic beyond belief and finally the end of Shadows of Amn because the statues and of course...
