Not only a good singer, but also a nice guy with a great sense of humour who does not seem to take himself too seriously. It is well worth watching him as guest on and later host of Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC) if recordings are still around on YouTube.

Anything after the Black Album sucks. They're a bunch of sellouts and I refuse to buy anything from them. Doesn't mean I won't enjoy the old stuff. Quite fond of Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets
