"Humans?" Rocky says. "Yeah, there used to be some humans down here. They got eaten, too. Not the guy in charge, though. We have no idea where he ended up."
"I don't think we should stand around in a dead end waiting to see if sharks come. I don't think that is a good idea at all. Why don't you guys come with as and we can talk as we explore?

While Anomen talked to the shrunken giants (if their tale was to be believed), the Halfling Halfwit seemed to think it best to find out about the hazards of this place first-hand. "Yes. We should walk, blindly, through the dangers of this accursed place, and ignore the opportunity to learn what we can," she disdainfully remarked. "Leaders require wisdom and foresight, which you have in rather short supply."
This reminds me of a story, that happened in one gnome village, that was under constant attack by a tribe of vicious kobolds a long time ago. The kobolds were attacking at night and usually stealing something, sometimes killing unsuspecting victims that happend to be in their way. At some point a group of brave gnomes gathered to fight back. Their daggers were sharp and their crossbows had plentyfull supplies of bolts! The thievish kobolds seemed to be doomed. But there was one problem - the group needed a leader. So they held a meeting, discussing who should lead them on this adventure. But none of them was willing to follow the orders of someone else, which is understandable, since they were all great heros. Unfortunately, the discussion became more and more aggressive as they talked. After several hours, the heros were accusing each other in helping the kobolds.
It all ended rather unspectacular. Since no one was ready to accept someone else as the leader, the kobolds were able to raid the village further. No one ever stood up against them.
"Don't be sad! Jaheira didn't want to be mean to you, that's just the way she talks. My cousine Rosie Swansen didn't loose her spirit when difficulties came her way and you can be like that too! Besides, who would make sure we don't get into any nasty traps, if you would be sad all the time?"
Jaheira left the two to console one another, as she tried to see what the miniature giants had to tell them about the dangers of this place. Sensing that she was very soon to be made leader, it only followed that she learn as much as she could in as short a time as possible.
OOC: I don't think what she expects is going to happen. It's her getting arrogant, based on her quote when you accidentally make her the leader in BG...
"Life and death are part of the balance," Jaheira injected, although she was hardly invited into that conversation. To her mind, leadership equaled bossy busy-body, and no words from anybody else would change that. Aerie, she reasoned, was far too naïve to deal with the realities of the balance, and would do well to heed Jaheira's hard-won wisdom on the matter.
OOC: @LadyRhian - She isn't asking specific questions right now, more than poking into other people's questions and being a busybody; I think she'd be most interested in threats facing them, but doesn't trust the mini-giants, or Calum, to be of much help
"We can't give up yet. We could still find him!" Aerie argued as she crossed her hands over her chest and frowned at Anomen.
True, we might stumble over his half eaten corpse in one of these corridors if you want to tramatized the boy. Lets us continue following the hyper energentic cake eating halfling around to find out.

Alora's ears prick up. "Does that mean I'm the leader again? Jan, Jan. I think Anomen said I'm the leader. Right, I think we should start exploring again. Let's go this way. Everybody, follow me!"
Alora charges off, heading back to the last place the path forked and she will head the down the corridor she didn't take last time.
OOC: I'm a bit confused about where we are. Basically, Alora wants to go somewhere new, not head back to the stalactite room.
Okay, you go back to the intersection and head… northish. After about 30 feet, the corridor opens up into another cavern. It's a rather unusual one. The left half of the room is cut off from the rest by a cage of iron bars with a closed, barred door (like a jail cell door, this door is made of bars). On the far side of the bars is a pool of water. Stalactites and stalagmites droop down from the ceiling and rise out of the water, occasionally meeting to form glistening white columns. Swimming between the columns and the bars are a trio of sharks.
To your right, a closed wooden door leads out of the chamber. It bears a plaque reading, "EMPLOYEES ONLY!"
Gulp! Alora almost chokes on her chocolate cake. She wasn't really expecting to meet sharks.
However, her inquisitiveness trumps her fear. She edges around the room, as far away from the sharks as it is possible to be and goes to the door marked 'Employees Only'. She then checks fro traps and if there are none, opens the door.
OOC: did we just meet the land sharks aka Bulletes, or are those normal sea sharks? They are swimming after all and you didn't mention them being land sharks, just sharks...
OOC: No. Not at all. From the description I don't think the sharks are in the pool of water, I think they are swimming around in the air. The room is like a jail cell and they have swum right up to the bars.
At least I think that is what has happened. I don't think normal rules of nature apply in this dungeon. Nor normal rules of D&D for that matter. Since we entered the dungeon we haven't met a single creature that is out of a Monster Manual.
*Anomen rolls his eyes at the halfling taking off*
Should we all follow or discuss other courses of action?
"Did you not say that we should follow the Halfwit?" Jaheira hissed. Apparently, he had the attention span, and recall, of the big Rashemenite idiot with the even bigger sword. Tromping after the little snot-nosed irritant, Jaheira was decidedly unimpressed by her party. Didn't they want better leadership? Apparently not; or else they didn't know it when it was standing in their midst. She could, however, keep them from harm, as a Harper should.
The sharks *are* in water. The water is near to the base of the bars, and the sharks are glaring at you through them.
Alora doesn't find the door to be locked (or even have a lock). When she opens it, she sees a short 20' corridor hewn out of the rock leading east to another door, also closed.

Alora eats a consoling piece of chocolate cake. The combination of cake, tears and the snot spooling from her nose is not a pretty sight . . .

@Reedmilfam What questions are Jaheira asking?

Left is west, right is east, BTW.
@Permidion_Stark I'll try to post a copy of the map soon.
As soon as you enter the chamber, the sharks spot you and swim up to the bars, glaring at you menacingly through them.
