Abazigal, no more like Abazigod!!

DragonKingDragonKing Member Posts: 1,979
So when I first googled this, I found this...

http://www.sorcerers.net/community/index.php?threads/abazigal-immune-to-timestop.22962/

I'm only my second play through and decided to fight Abazigal before face sedna in her orgy room. My first time fighting him, I did a lot of cheating, but then again I was a wild mage, my existence itself is cheating.

Now I'm using my mostly clean Sorcerer play through. OK, no this fucker is literally immune to my time stop, my game is COMPLETELYUNMODDED and its paused while I'm typing this. Under a wish casted improve alacrity and time stop he has; casted his defense, casted remove magic, walked toward into melee range and started melee attacking. You cannot for the love of any god tell me he isn't immune, even if wing buffet and tail slap are scripted abilities. If it wasn't for the five mks I had overwhelmed his first form with, atleadt two of my team would be dead right now!

Edit;
I best him, but it costed me to permanently loss Neera and Minsc, yet Charname was pretty much untouched...

    Wait till you try ascension...

I found it was best to spread my fighters out and kite him around the room with whoever he followed but I had cheated to get 6 pairs of Boots of speed. the again I was playing on ascension so he was much harder.

Actually I plan on keeping everyone back and just soloing him this time, if everything works the way I plan, I should be able to repeat killing him without losing anyone.

what I did, was keep everyone away from abizigal and cast protection from magical weapons on my sorcerer and I still used timestop and improved alacrity and lowered his MR a little bit, then pelted him with abi dalzim's horrid wilting until he fell, even though he is immune to timestop that makes some of his abilities not work when timestop is around, so if you have a sorcerer with the right spells taking out his dragon form is a piece of cake

Horrid wilting is always a good call.

Cloak of the Sewers. The bane of all dragons. Turn into a rat with 99% physical resistance. That character can't attack back...but why does that matter? Tank the dragon. Breach the dragon. Remove its protections and chop it up into a fine mist.

Failing that...it depends on who is in your party. Your sorceror could likely tank the dragon with the right spells. Make sure that you are protected from his dispelling, and start stoneskinning. While you tank it, your fights chop it up.

I was just looking at some stats about this guy in ee keeper, and apparently his dragon form regenerates, good times
  • DragonKingDragonKing Member Posts: 1,979
He has a regen? I never noticed... I wish Dragon disciple got that breath attack he possess... That damn this one shots 4 out of Six people it seems.

I can beat him, that isn't a problem, its just the fact some people say he isn't immune to time stop, when he seems to obviously be so in my unmodded game...

Hell I wish Dragon disciple got a dragon transformation!!!

yeah, that immune to timestop thing must have been one of those "fixes" the devs made for ToB just like how if you have imoen on your team long enough she starts getting special abilities and a permanent +1 dex as well in ToB

It had to be something, I remember the very first time I fought him. I time stopped, and then we had a conversation, he pretty much thanked me for making it than much easier to massacre my whole team and then me..

protection from magical weapons is your friend, complete invulnerability when time is stopped when you have that spell cast ( or absolute immunity works pretty well as well, although it is a level 9 spell)

    Her? Brother? Which brother?

    My words exactly.

Abazigal is a dude! And he doesn't have a brother. Maybe you meant the son?

I mean, technically he does; Sarevok, Balthazar, Yaga-Shura, Gavid, Gromnir Il-Khan, Viekang, and many other lesser bhaal spawn.

Don't tell me I'm the only one who viewed them as my siblings? I mean shit, I even felt bad about killing sednai and Abazigal/Draconis... But that could be written off to the fact that I fucking hate killing dragons! That and I may have a soft spot for the Drow... And Sednai was quite the looker >.>

Hey, you can say you have pretty sibling without being attracted to them. I call my mom pretty all the time, and I'm not attracted to her like that, so why should s sibling be any different. Plus you fight her, just like how me and my brother fought growing up.

I generally find Draconis to be tougher than Abazigal.

I'm only my second play through and decided to fight Abazigal before face sedna in her orgy room.

I guess you meant to say Sendai?

By the way, Sedna is actually the name of a dwarf planet in our solar system. It's quite far from the sun.

I'm guessing the later post by me where I actually spell her name correctly doesn't actually answer that question.

And I find Draconis quite easy to fight. Then again I believe in overwhelming force that is immune to physical attacks which makes them quite perfect for tanking.

By the way, Sedna is the name of a character from Demigod, she is a healer who rides on the back of a snow leopard and can summon 4 yeti to fight for her.
