I'm sure they'll need to see how good the sales are before they would consider it. But I would think that if the game sells well in via download those talks will resume.
Once everyone gets the game brag about it too and show game play of it and have a direct link to this site for them to make a purchased of this game.....
The Boxed version if the developers decided to do Box version down the road in the near feature. If they make good profit on direct downloads and if everyone tells people about Balder's Gate Enhanced Edition then more and more people will buy it....
Box does cost a lot of money and talk with different company's as well this will also bring up sales as well with box editions too..
I'd like a boxed game. It'd be perfect to have box with great game "Baldur's Gate" on my shelf, few gigabytes on my hard drive would not have the same effect. But the important thing is to have the game! No matter what!
Make your own box. Seriously. It is easy, and you can make it more perfect for you than anyone else could. This is more common than you think. I hated my New Super Mario Bros. Wii case; it was red when all other Wii games had white cases. I got a blank white dvd case and printed my own cover. Also made my own Wii Sports case.
There are a ton of great artists out there that you can use for case cover art. Buy a case, burn a DVD, find your cover art and print.
Make a nice enough case, and some people on here might even buy one from you!
I'm fine with a couple of months of delay if it means we will get a better product. To many games today have the most unrealistic deadlines and are released incredibly buggy and sometimes broken (like that time I bought Skyrim for the PS3 because Bethesda made it sound like all platforms would get the proper attention).
I'm royally pissed about the situation with Skyrim:
- first they release the game featuring the same lag problems that Oblivion, Fallout and New Vegas had on the PS3. - then they only fix the issue 3 months (or was it more?) later. - now the PS3 version gets no DLC because it might make the game fall apart.

Never again will I buy a Bethesda game at launch.
Yeah, same here. My Morrowind nostalgia blinded me and Bethesda made it sound like they knew what they where doing. Never again.
I don't like the Behthesda rpg style at all. The two hands floating in front of me and whatnot are a no thank you. Morrowind - I tried to like it, I really did. Cared less and less with each new event or place. Still don't understand the appeal.

Made in a few minutes.. and it could get wayyy better
Very nice either way. Though it would be cool if Overhaul just cropped some of their current art to be an "official" cover for us to print out. Not that we couldn't do the same easily, but it is nice to have something "official".
@reedmilfam: You could just, like, zoom out and see your full character, you know... At least in Skyrim you can. Dunno about Morrowind or Oblivion.
@lordkim: Heeeyyy, that actually looks pretty good! How did you put the picture on the CD, though? I'm always afraid to damage the CD when doing that...
@TrentOster: I never got this idea of putting games on an USB stick instead of a DVD. I mean, USB sticks break far more easily than DVDs (granted they aren't put in horrible cases like what they did with the 4-in-1 case of the Baldur's Gate series...My BG 2 disc eventually broke by putting it too much in and out of this case, horrible system). Plus, DVDs look far better on a shelf, like @mch202 said. Maybe I'm just getting too old for innovation. *waves with her walking cane* XD
I still have P:T and IWD II to finish.. alas, my urge to start AGAIN in Candlekeep is stronger. I know everything about the story and beyond, yet there are places in the Realms still unvisited, but still I prefer to play BG - is it madness, or what?

It is Sparta.
Yeah me too! I bought Planescape: Torment and haven't played it through yet, I want to play Baldur's Gate! I love the NPC's interaction, the reputation reactions, the storyline and all the places to explore, new NPC's to play with and the list goes on and on...
Still, I should get serious about Planescape: Torment. xD

Glad you guys have professional integrity.

True, but Skyrim is a lot easier to play with in first person view, at least for me, and I absolutely hate the control scheme.

If it's just about the case, ship the USB, in a like sized box as per above

Perfect box. :-) If it looked like on your picture, I would be satisfied.
