some of these are so bad t.b.h I only like 2 so far the Halderis and the halfing. The lighting and hairstyle completely and botox faces make the images worse.!
A request for skilled people. A really great pic I've found:
I actually prefer the original, though perhaps in chain, as I'd quite to use that image for a half-elven Skald, would anyone be able to do this? Also anyway to get rid of the watermarking? Thanks
While that's OK when each dot of color is the size of a pixel (so you can't see them), when a drawing application is asked to scale it up, it just doesn't have much to work with. It blurs the image while retaining as much of the details as it can, but it just can't extrapolate details that were lost when the image was scaled down.
Based on my tests, it is usually fine to scale up from medium to large size, the loss in image quality is in most case not or barely noticeable.
However, I agree with you that there isn't enough information to upscale the small size images. In this particular case it is even worse because the picture was in the original even smaller size (38x60).

This would be nice for a Uthgard Barbarian/Shaman :P
@Isandir compliments, I really like your portraits! ^^
@SharGuidesMyHand: Is this something like what you had in mind? (EDIT: I'm still not happy with the armor, as it looks far too dark in the shoulders. I'll probably be editing it eventually or switching to a different set.)

I'm not picky about the armor, but I would strongly suggest keeping the glinting knife-in-hand in the picture - it hints that she's planning (or just did) something sinister.
Here are some of my favorite portraits that I don't see that often. I am not sure who the artist is for each one of them and I apologize for any reposts:
Any suggestions on what to do when the game immediatly freezes (crashes) when running it after creating an override folder and placing correctly named and sized pictures in it? Thankful for any ideas!
Portraits that you are using for your character? They shouldn't be in the override folder, you should make a folder called Portraits and put them in there.

Are you sure they're the correct file type though? Should be 24-bit .bmp.
@Akerhon: Thank you! I've probably been spending too much time making them because I ended up liking it so much.
@Psychochilla: I really liked this Benicio Del Toro portrait, so I tried using it this afternoon. It's done in a much less realistic style than I usually do--more similar to a painting.

really nice but i get the feeling the hands look a little bit weird and also maybe reduce his shoulders a bit? he almost looks a little bit overweight there :P pardon my critizism
No problem. It helps to have extra eyes to catch things I miss. It happens a lot when you've been staring at a portrait for a while. I made a few changes to address your suggestions. The most noticeable one is the hands. I think they looked odd because there should have been shadowing on top (as the lightning is contained between them).
I've also attached the revised version of the female rogue, with a dagger now included, as suggested by @SharGuidesMyHand. The hand was simply recycled from the halfling portrait.
Some of them are not good (really), but some are perfect and baldurized!
Shorties 1 Female halfling fighter 2 Dwarven king. Reminds me someone from the Hobbit movie 3 Dunno about this one 4 aahh... 5 Nice evil halfling thief
Girsl girls girls 1 Red Wizard of Thay 2 Barbarian for sure. Shar-Teel's little sister 3 Sharpened: 4 Not sure about that 5 That is not good too... 6 I love this one. A masterpiece! And in BG style IMO. But she needs an ancient armor. @TiaxRulesAll where are you, friend? :-) 7 8 Needs a BG style armor. Could be a nice one 9 LOL but really a great pic it is. A human cleric or even a paladin. 10 Red hood mage
Men 1 Nice paladin from popular TV series 2 Looks like Rasaad 3 4 Like this one. But he need an armor, not a futuristic one. 5 Bard 6 Skie's angry father! 7 Druid or mage 8 Ladie's man...
Have 4-5 more really nice pics, but I need to edit them...

I'll add both to the Dropbox in a few minutes.
i think the thing about the fingers is that they actually look like they are from an overweight dude
@DarkDogg Well done, you have earned some "like" xD
Agreed :P Might use the 1st Neeshka (name has to be a coincidence) pic in my next run, there are 2 decent tiefling npc mods this would fit perfectly and is really cute. Can't only decide which one...
Is it still good to post modified BioWare game portraits here, instead of celebrities and other art? Cuz I've this modified NWN elf portrait which I usually use when I play F/M. Thought I might share it with you, guys:

This one is fantastic. I far prefer it over the two or three dwarfish portraits the vanilla game provides.
[darn BG2 and the lack of thiefs!]
Neeshka is a famous thief from NeverWinter :-)
I like her name, cause on russian it sounds like Nyashka :-) Няшная Нишка Оо
*uhm* if my leftover russian is not wrong, wouldn't it be read like: Njashnaja Nyshka ? (or "ya" instead of "ja")

onto this body?

It is for my own personal game portrait of a fighter/thief Shar-Teel, I attempted to do so but failed pretty badly lol.

With the proper tools and some blending, I think it would look really nice. Thanks!
