Hey Edvin, I put the file in my overide folder but the only thing that happened is it changed from a Scarlet Katana to a Scarlet Ninjato. But I'm still unable to use it. Did I do something wrong here?
I made a small update before the release (final) version 3.0 I fixed a few typos and one or two problems with some items.
Version 3.0 will contain:
1) 2-3 new Spears 2) At least two new bosses 3) 5-10 new items (lots of new items is in progress but some (yet) do not work the way I want) 4) Modified installation for better compatibility with other mods
@Edvin I don't know if anyone has already said this earlier in this thread, but it feels great to find that Boo can smell EVIL! [In the original game, it feels kind of awkward that he just sits in the item slot doing absolutely nothing, but you've fixed that with this great ability, and certainly a worthy one, at least from a role-playing aspect.] The entire mod looks great, and it'll be the first one that I'd try after I finish my first (un-modded) playthrough.

After I finish "Ash of Gods: Redeption" (Great game) I finish the last details and release the final version of my mod. I already have a couple of wonderful things done.
Here is few examples:
Seed of Darkness (How much are you willing to sacrifice? New consumable item) Vampire Dragon (I'm pretty sure 95% of people will not be able to defeat this new boss ) Blade of chaos (100 random effects after you hit enemy [but no stupid stuff like "lost all your gold" from chaos magic])

Awesome. But can I make a small suggestion? Can we have it that dropped items (like the Tongue of Acid) are unidentified? Just the little things that help blend it in better.
I was just lazy because identified item and unidentified item are two separate items. Lot of extra work and writing. I will fix it in the next version.

Ahm, unless I'm mixing something up those gems don't really hold any souls at all? (And most of the time the player will lose these pretty quickly anyway)?

I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly.
Yes, this is quest item needed to complete quest in Underdark. But there is more than one way how you can finish this quest and at least in two cases, the gems will remain in your possession.
The same thing applies also to:
Malla's Soul Stone Mantle of Waukeen Talisman of the Hearthfire
Item Request: a simple addition of Lon’s Amulet, Ring of Purity and Cloverleaf belt from SoD. I know you have the Mantle of Waukeen that gives out luck but the belts in BG2 are severely lacking and the Cloverleaf will spice things up a bit...
Wow this is like an extension of my BGEE Item replacement / fun pack mod to BG2EE (to weed out all the unnecessary item duplication). Now I can try your mod without having to mod myself XD

I can share with u a simpler way, Use EEKeeper, open the CRE.files, select the inventory tab of the creature that drop the item, find the item and set the item flag to "Unidentified". His death will now dropped the unidentified version. rmb to save and export the CRE files to the override folder.
Items with no unidentified dialogue can be created by dialogue references via DLTCEP.
II. put the following items into a separate component, because in EET they will act as duplicates (especially undesirable for the cloak of balduran):
The Cloak of Balduran
Helm of Opposite Alignment
Girdle of Femininity/Masculinity
III. take a look at this mod and the Tweaks Anthology component that enables 2-handed katanas, and see if you would be able to either create new proper looking 2-handed katana weapons (including the normal version) or to modify existing katanas to also be usable in a 2-handed variant.

- useful quest items (including boo)
- item tweaks
