It isn't so much a meme, as it is a way to be even more annoying online by inserting clap emojis between every single word in order to make it sound like what you are saying is important.
No, I think we've all been there. I got to a point, after oh so many playthroughs, where I just memorize the grid in my head. Plus I had been using a graph paper with squares on it before.

I doubt it. The writing on the one ring could only be seen if it was heated and it was on the outside and inside of the ring.
