Please stop it. You are overreacting, and you are blowing something small and insignificant out of proportion. You really do not need to police other people's posts. This is the second time you have pulled this sort of thing on this thread alone, so please do not claim that you "have no tendency" toward it.
Besides, we're all big kids here, okay? We can take care of ourselves--I am pretty sure we don't need a knight in shining armor rushing to our aid every time someone is slightly rude to us.
@LadyEibhilinRhett : you cannot condemn a person just for trying to help though. We can keep the things here nice and calm, we are good people anyway, it's not a bad corner of the universe this forum. Keeping on-topic and not arguing anymore would do the trick
@LadyEibhilinRhett: I just want to keep things peaceful for everyone. As I explained before, I thought @Raistling82's original post concerning @Pantalion's work sounded a bit offensive due to it's ambiguity. Let's be honest, that post could be interpreted in many different ways. I happened to misinterpret it in the end. It was no intention of mine to cause a quarrel. I also posted in a civil way and got a rude response in return. So I explained my motivations. So please don't go classifying me as one or the other N@zi on these forums. I have never desired to be a moderator on these forums anyway. I just want things to be kept civil and fun for everyone. I'm sorry if I therefore sometimes derail topics. I just wanted to get a point across, that's all. In fact, I very much like this topic thus far and I also like your initiatives for creative topics like these. I makes me want to post drawings myself. So far I have seen a lot of good work being posted and I hope the amount of artwork will only increase! In any case, please don't accuse me for having misinterpreted someone's comment. I'm not omniscient, but only human. I hope this makes everything clear and will stop this argument here. Anyway, onto the artwork!
I understand you are only trying to keep things peaceful. The problem here is that often your posts have the opposite effect. They tend to single people out and invite conflict. I know you probably don't mean them that way, but they really just invite the 'offenders' to respond. Not to mention they sometimes make a big deal out of nothing. Our first example of your doing this on this thread was when a poster brought up a previous thread you found distasteful. I can understand why you did not want that discussion started again. However, it was only briefly mentioned in said post. I do not believe the poster was intending to start a discussion so much as make an observation. However, once you make a post in reply to a situation like this, the OP is much more likely to get defensive now that they perceive their comment might be "under attack". They may feel they have to respond and defend the "validity" of the comment and their right to post it. Sometimes in these kinds of situations, the poster may even start trying to have a discussion about the topic even if they weren't planning to before, just to prove that you're wrong for getting upset. I know it sounds messed up, but I've seen it happen enough in forums to know it's a very common reaction. In a case such as this, what may have been a well intended post meant to ask people not to start this discussion can actually turn into the reason the discussion actually starts in the first place. The best way to avoid this is to sit and wait after seeing the original post that brings it up to see if anyone else responds. Then, if someone actually tries to START the discussion you find so distasteful (I would wait until there are at LEAST three or four posts that are CLEARLY discussing the topic, so no one can really argue with you on the point that the discussion is taking place), then THEY'RE the ones derailing the thread, and not you, and you are perfectly justified in posting a response asking them to stop. If you post prematurely, you're likely just going to be seen as overreacting.
In the second case, when someone posts something rude--If it is directed at a specific person, then generally you should let that specific person handle it. If it bothers them enough, they will respond. Sometimes you won't even know if they respond, either. For example, if someone says something on a forum to me that makes me feel personally insulted and attacked, I usually send them a private message explaining that I have been offended, and asking them to please refrain from making such comments to me in the future. In this way, I can avoid derailing the thread and keep other posters from ganging up on the offender and turning it into a full blown argument. Besides, there's a chance that the person in question wasn't meaning to be rude and simply made an honest mistake, in which case it would be unfair to attack them for something they didn't mean, especially on a public forum. In my opinion, the only time it's really justified to respond on someone else's behalf based on a personal insult is when it is severe and clearly intended to be incendiary. Even then, it's better to respond in private notes because if it's actually MEANT as an insult there's a good chance it might be a troll, and answering them in public may be feeding them. The only other time it is justified is if the person who the insult has directed at HAS responded in public, and the offender persists in their assholery and will not stop. In this case it is definitely okay to respond on the forum itself because other people have already derailed the thread and things are getting out of hand. In this situation, you may become a peacemaker by commenting on it.
Now, I realize some people may think it hypocritical that I am posting this message on the forum itself after I have just said it is better to respond in private to avoid derailing the thread. This is my reasoning behind it. This is information that it is important for everyone to know, and I think it will help keep the peace far better than before. Yes, it is important to call out people who are disrupting the peace and derailing a thread, but you have to know when and how it is appropriate.
Okay, I'll get off my soap box now and let you all get on with your girdle shenanigans. This is the last time I will tl;dr your brains off over an unrelated issue on this thread. To anyone who has been upset by this derailing, I apologize. It's over now, and it won't happen again, at least not coming from me.
@Nishi_Kara_No_Kaze That's absolutely hilarious~ Unfortunately I can't count it as a submission, since it's technically not your work. But you get a big thumbs up from me regardless.
@Secria Great pic! Very dynamic, with nice clean lines. Thumbs up! @alkaiser Awesomeness! Sarevokia, the Lady of Murder, your new goddess. KNEEL BEFORE HER!
@CheesebellyI wonder how many people know that Garrick's portrait is Cameron Tofer Anyone who followed that tread. You know, the one where that guy showed those pics and wrote that list of those models' names.
After those awesome hand-drawn pics, I almost feel ashamed to post my cheap cheat-ish photo-manips... Almost. She was sure she was putting on a belt of hill giant's strength. After the curse hit, he decided to keep his bangs tied back, so that they wouldn't obscure his vision, thus preventing from any such mistakes occurring in the future. I'm not sure how he's calling himself now. Any suggestions?
Hey @Syntia13, fancy doing a doing a little tutorial or videoing one of your conversions, I am very interested in what your process is as they have been fantastic
@Syntia13 Nice! Unfortunately I cannot think of a serious name to suggest for him because every time I see the picture I just automatically think "HAHA HEY LOOK IT'S MAN-ZY"

That Minsc is the creepiest thing I've seen all day, and I woke up next to some unshaved drunk dwarf chick (again).
There we go.
(Btw it's awesome. Love it.)

As for a name, Matty perhaps.
Nice!
