Cleric (15) -> Mage, because there are tomes of wisdom and wis bonuses in the Irencius trial, by the time you reach tob you will have 23 wis (or even 24 depends on if you really tried-It's hard to get the deck of many things before lv15) and that grant you extra spells enough for a lv15 cleric to function as the only cleric in team. Also you'll have ROV so yay instance sunray!
In BG: Thief->cleric, a ne'er-do-well who learns to channel the divine spirit of Bhaal resting uneasily within him. Withthe aid of a few mods such as "kjeron's dualclass into kits" and Faiths and Powers, Ur-Priest kit for the appropriate feel. In vanilla EE, assassin->cleric has much the same feel.
If there is any class fitting me most its the Druid and in particular the Totemic Druid!
Lets tell you a small story: „Harpagornis has always been drawn to his parents tales of the unspoiled wilderness. He occasionally found exotic flowers pressed and long forgotten between the pages of books, and often spent long hours studying natures varied forms watching animals in the woods. He got the undefined feeling that pure wisdom can only be found in himself so he constantly tries to call in manifestations of his inner spirits. As a result of this contemplations Harpagornis refuses most items from the material plane as he treat them as useless. It is his foremost wish that someday he will understand the Earthmother in her omipresence.“
(I mean, you've made Chaos Sorcerers, thief-druids, Mystics, the Magus and other sorcerer kits, Shadow Magic, etc. If anyone can manage to make a multi-class sorcerer, it's you guys.)
arcane caster, no matter what, but he/she HAS to be an arcane caster. everything from the unkitted mage to the powerful sorcerer, pure class or mixed with thief, cleric or fighter, in dual or multi. in the 90% of my runs i want that all the party can cast arcane magic. i chose a not arcane caster charname only if i want to try something different. the last not arcane casters was an undead hunter and a half elf F/T.
(I mean, you've made Chaos Sorcerers, thief-druids, Mystics, the Magus and other sorcerer kits, Shadow Magic, etc. If anyone can manage to make a multi-class sorcerer, it's you guys.)
It's being worked on.
In fact, multi-class Sorcerers are basically done... just need to write up the Weidu and throw it into Tome and Blood. But you know it wouldn't be a good content update to one of my mods without a balance pass that I agonize over for months (see: Monastic Orders of Faerun's 2 year development cycle).
Great question! I have a set of characters that I consider my "core" characters, ones that are near and dear to me. They encompass most if not all fundamental builds. Of course, there is one that is dearest of all. I'll introduce each briefly and then reveal my signature character, and by association my signature class. Some of you may think you know the answer, but you may be surprised.
Here they are:
Alesia, human bounty hunter -stared in a RPed no reload run, regrettably abandoned in ToB -soloed Ascension on hard, pre SCS -no reloaded an SCS-Ascension install up to Melissan, completed the battle on core -likely to get another chance at a SCS/Ascension solo no reload
Alanis, elven sorcerer -My first trilogy no reloader, with Ascension, pre-SCS -first recorded trilogy no reload with Ascension -soloed the Ascension throne battles on insane
Alastria, human transmuter -soloed a Tactics (parts) + Questpack + Ascension install, pre-SCS
Aliana, human avenger druid -soloed a Ascension + Questpack install, pre-SCS
Alia, elven archer -accompanied my sorcerer, Alanis, as an NPC in my first trilogy no reload -no reloaded a Questpack + Ascension install, pre-SCS up to Melissan
Alessandra, human paladin, undead hunter -solo no reloaded an SCS/Ascension install up to Abazigal
Alyssa, elven M/T -successful SCS/Ascension trilogy solo no reloader
Alisa, half-elven jester -successful SCS/Ascension trilogy solo no reloader
Ashanti, half-elven beast master -No reloaded an SCS/Ascension install up to Demon Battle I at the Throne -soloed SCS/Ascension, including Watcher's Keep
Arcadia, half-elven F/M -successful SCS/Ascension trilogy solo no reloader
Aphril, elven sorcerer - no reloaded an SCS/Ascension install on insane up to Melissan in a party with Imoen, Aerie, and a player created sorcerer, Adara
Alikae Domica: The Black Hand, Shadow Assassin, Dark Moon Monk, human dark moon monk -stared in a RPed no reload that I regret abandoning -likely to get another chance at a SCS/Ascension solo no reload
Arkona, halfling barbarian -successful SCS/Ascension trilogy solo no reloader
Aestica, halfling fighter, unkitted -unaccomplished, but likely to get another chance at a SCS/Ascension solo no reload
I have fond memories of all of these characters- especially Alanis, Alastria, Aphril, and Alesia. If I were to pick one above all others, though, then, yes, no surprises after all: I would have to choose my bounty hunter, Alesia.
Alesia was the character that taught me to play. She was also the first character that other players enjoyed reading about. I've played for many years now. And I'll likely play for many more. But no character will ever supplant Alesia. She's my girl and always will be :-)
Best,
A.
NW: While the bounty hunter is my signature class, and while I solo a lot, I consider my signature playthrough to be a four member arcane team, led by a sorcerer, often fighting in dense teleport fields. Those playthrough were the most fun, and, technically speaking, my best, I think. Alanis and Aphril both used that approach
@Alesia_BH I might be mistaken, but didn't you also went through Watcher's Keep with Arkona, your halfling barbarian ? I remember having read that playthrough...

Yuppers!
(I just didn't think it was worthy of mention in the case of the barbarian)
The noreload thread has a transmuter party run through SoD but it is not overly descriptive on a round by round basis. Other than that I had one on the ancient bg board before it went to bioware so that is long gone. I keep intending to play again but I never find time now with kids and work and illness.
Anyway, yes, transmuters are great fun thematically.
Also a sidenote, I wish pets / familiars leveled with you and if die they would be resummonable 1/ day and that you could have a raven (just like in NWN, one of the few things that game got right), because ravens are awesome; https://m.imgur.com/gallery/KWzH4ny
Like that girl, cept a HUUUGE one. I saw a picture of a girl with a huge raven on the subway once, unfortunately that picture above is the picture that pops up when you google it, so it will have to do.
Mine actually changed for me fairly recently. When I first started playing (I think it was 1998?), Paladin was definitely my signature character. Up close sword & Board and making the coast just a little bit better place. When the EE's came out Ranger and F/M/T were my go to's. But in the last year Bards have utterly won my heart. It's so much fun to be able to interact with the game in so many ways. My dream would be a Ranger/Bard but you know how these things go. Luckily with Might and GUile's Meistersinger (a druidic bard) I can fudge a ranger bard fairly well. Build as a melee fighter and focus on summoning and debuff magic.
I remember you always banging on how good Blade was? Well I can now confirm.

May the Earthmother be with you!
For the BG saga, I like Sorcerer the most and then Fighter/Mage. I wish there was something like a Fighter/Sorcerer!

So much archery at max range and run out of sight and hide to do game mechanic abuse of spellcasters.

Sorry, I'll just get my coat and leave.
But first, remember that Infinity Engine games use v2.x rules where NWN's Aurora Engine uses 3.0.

I haven't cast 15 skull traps in my life.
