I see a skull in the sky instead of the moon. Is it just me? Weird.
Blasphemous ideas have drawn the ire of the greater powers.
As told in German folk lore, Die Waffelgötter live in the heavens above, and protect only the most delicious of breakfasts. Something particularly heinous must have been threatening the pictured Waffle House, and divine entities dimmed the skies as a show of power to ward off any threat.
There, I think I can see something. Can ya'll see it? In the name of the place itself. A confession: I will go there at least for a cup of their coffee (always good stuff, no waffles though). There, off my mind now, hehheh.
@lefreut Where are you from ? Around here is Québec, it's a pretty common traduction. Would go for galette, because they're thicker ?
@Arctodus I'm from France There is no real translation for pancakes are they are not very common here, we simply call them pancakes.
Crêpes are made with wheat flour and are used for sweet dish. Galettes are made with buckwheat flour and are used for salty dish. Both are very thin so you can't really compare them to pancakes.

Here, we have "crêpes au sarrazin" and "crêpes". Galette is rarely used. Both "crêpes au sarrazin" and "crêpes" are used in salty or sweet dish.
It's quite common in Montreal to have bilingual menus in restaurant, being in a north-american context and all. Pancakes here is commonly translated with crêpes, and vice versa.
What do you Martians call the asteroid belt? The ex-5th planet?
It’s not an asteroid belt! It's passed on! This planet is no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its maker! It's a stiff! Bereft of cohesion, it rests in pieces! If you hadn't nailed it to the comet it'd be pushing up the daisies! It’s geologic processes are now history! It’s off the twig! It's kicked the bucket, shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-PLANET!!

If I was a martian I'd use an Illudium Q36 Explosive Space Modulator myself...

Et dire qu'on parle la même langue !
Did the Martians at least have a name for this planet before its destruction? It should have a proper memorial...
