    Don't change your BeamDog password. If it times out (heavy loading due to BG downloaders, I suppose), it will get that Verification Error message. It's not a pword problem - it's a loading issue.

    I think the default male and female soundsets are different from the numbered ones. If that's true it originally shipped with 8 soundsets (4 male, 4 female).

    BG2 added 3 more for each sex.

    VLC Media player works just fine and yes, only three voice sets each in BG1.

    I also have got the "Verification failed due to a server error" problem, just like Kerozevok. Tried reinstalling, using beamdog client and rebooting. Any further ideas anybody?

    You do realize that the amount of data for a purchase, compared to a download, is significantly less, right? Wait until you try to do anyting on iTunes on Christmas day and you'll see what I mean.

    It's like - gripe if they let you download it early. Gripe if you don't (directed at the community at large). As far as I can tell, my download was slow, but completed on the 23rd. I have two days to make the next bit work. While more bandwidth for downloads is a good thing, it's also costly for BD/OVHL and would affect the price of offerings. I don't know any easy solution to that.

    it will be available for ipad too, so the question remains. Does anyone know if it's been submitted to apple for approval?

    My pre-load worked fine with beamdog server, but I have an issue: when I open the .exe file of the game the new window says "cheking files" on the bottom, then windows crashes and says "bgee stop working"

    @xaytar try removing the .beam and .status files from the /Data folder. Might be one of them is corrupt and and it's causing the client to flip out.

    Thanks, but still not working... I had this problem also before the installation process, so I switched to the beamdog website for the download...

    Yes it has but there was a bug so they had to resubmit. Shouldn't be too much later than the 28th as long as the new version is approved.

    Sooo, I preloaded the game Sunday and tonight I opened my beamdog client to check and it has a little red plus. I start getting a little excited and click the plus, The game starts checking the files and I get a lot more excited. It gets to 75% and starts downloading a few more files. I am now practically hopping up and down with excitement, watching the progess indicator getting closer and closer to complete. 95.5% 98%, 99.6% I start rubbing my hands i anticipation.

    Iam so happy havin BG:EE now - what do you think - when i reinstall my System, can i copy the whole downloaded (backup'ed) folder in the installed directory ? greez LC
