Red headed stepchild? Man, haven't seen that trope in awhile.

    1.Parasite
    2.Loss of taste
    3.Thwarted by hands
  • semiticgoddesssemiticgoddess Member Posts: 14,903
@ThacoBell: I hadn't even thought of that one, but it really fits.

The original guess actually applied to three characters: Eric Cartman from South Park, Charlie Brown, and  Morty Smith from Rick and Morty.

    Eric Cartman:

    1. Has no father (the exact reasons are complicated)
    2. Gets in a fight with a red-headed boy named Scott Tenorman, and also gets tricked into thinking he's ginger after he launches an anti-ginger campaign
    3. Constantly comes up with elaborate schemes, many of which completely blow up in his face

    Charlie Brown:

    1. Has no visible parents, since adults never show up in the Peanuts comics
    2. Has a crush on a little red-headed girl, but can never muster the courage to speak to her
    3. Is generally treated as a failure by the kids around him, and coaches a baseball team that loses virtually every game it plays

    Morty Smith:

    1. Has a father who leaves the house due to a divorce
    2. Has a crush on Jessica, a red-headed girl he struggles to speak to (Rick and Morty both are hinted at having a thing for redheads)
    3. Often makes well-meaning mistakes in other universes due to inexperience (like thwarting an assassination and then accidentally causing dozens of deaths in the process)

We should come up with a crossword puzzle for this at some point. These all seem like crossword clues to me!

You're in the right ballpark. Bigger and different targeted part of the body. If people aren't interested or stumped by this one, we can move on and I'll post my answer.

Hmmm... Could be "V" or "Mork & Mindy"? I'll go with "V".

There are *so* Many. I was thinking of the Centauri from Babylon 5 (since aside from their hairstyles, they look human). But you got it. :)

Have you tried Absinthe? I've been thinking about buying some just to try it out. The authentic stuff is pretty pricey and there's a bit of a ritual involved to drink it properly. That would necessitate buying a special spoon and a time investment too (to make it an official tasting). Wondering if it's worth it to give it a proper trial...

No, I haven't I don't drink alcohol because the taste literally makes me sick to my stomach. Except for Sloe Gin Sour, which tastes very much like Hawaiian Punch with a kick. But I know about absinthe, and the ritual, the name "Green Fairy" and the fact that true absinthe's kick is made by thujone.

Damn, I guess I need to think of another now...

    1. Master of riddle solving
    2. Imitated but never surpassed
    3. No two are completely alike
  • semiticgoddesssemiticgoddess Member Posts: 14,903
Sherlock Holmes. I'm guessing the original is deemed better than the various imitators?

    Next up:

    1. Cries a lot
    2. Laughs a lot
    3. Highly inappropriate with everyone

I love Sherlock Holmes so that's a very acceptable answer. The real answer I was looking for was far less specific however, the human mind!
