I posted about way earlier in the thread around the Dec., near where we talking about the tile-set error that got fixed. I cannot find my conformation report e-mail on it sorry. I will re-submit, but it a easy to check on. Put item down and use z translation on it with placable for height comparison and then go
in-game and check the item.

Back when the game was released I used to play a lot and build modules to play with friends, times are different now and I use a mac computer for professional reasons.
I miss the toolset and would be nice to see some mac oriented tool to extract and edit HAK and other files.
That crash error where you delete an area that has the Starting Location in it is back. Forces you to use CTRL+ALT+DELETE to terminate the process which then corrupts the module.
I just noticed an oddity with the toolset. Was playing around with some of Lisa's outfits and I saw something odd in the window with the whole body view. I dismissed it as something that had been added for viewing the costume as it was being edited. When I had done creating the costume I gave it to an NPC and placed the creature in the test area. And this oddity was still there. All the metallic weapons were semi-transparent. That is while you can see the shape of the weapon you can also see through the weapon as though looking through lightly frosted glass. So I tested it in-game and the weapons are solid. So I have a couple of questions.
1. Is anyone else seeing this and
2. Is this intentional?
@castagnopolis The toolset more or less works with the OSX version of wine. I have been helping someone using just that and while certain features in certain tilesets seem to give it problems it otherwise seems to work.
Yes, I have seen it for some time (maybe a year?) but it's only during the actual appearance view in the creature preview window. I though it was just me. In some cases the armor is completely transparent.
A really small annoyance now. When you go to edit/edit copy clothing (probably armour as well) that is designated as being female attire it still defaults to being male. In some cases this means that all you see before you correct it are the head and hands.
I've an old worldbuilder guide from the Versus Books guidebook publishers, is this book still relevant to how the Toolset works or has it changed beyond the book now?

Yes, metallic objects are rendered as semi-transparent in Toolset. That's a known old bug but nobody seems to be able to figure out why it's happening. It's minor enough though to spend significant time on it.
That crash error where you delete an area that has the Starting Location in it is back. Forces you to use CTRL+ALT+DELETE to terminate the process which then corrupts the module.
I can't reproduce this: deleting an area and placing the starting location elsewhere works. Can you prepare a test module and specific steps to reproduce?

As far as I know, the designation is never stored anywhere, the switch is not a property of the item, it is there just to control the preview window.
@Virusman - I'd be glad to, but the issue is fixed again in 8193.10. If It pops back up again, I'll be sure to include a text module with the report.
As for reproducing in 8193.9:
1. Create a new module.
2. Create two areas.
3. Open the area WITHOUT the StartingLocation.
4. While the area from Step 3 is still open, delete the area WITH the StartingLocation - at this point my Toolset was crashing.
1. Where can I download the out of band toolset. I cannot find the link to download on the original post.
2. I found a copy on moddb site but when I try and open it says error with dialog.tlk.
@Mully732 All these changes got integrated into patches. Update to the latest version, and all the new features will be there. The out of band updates were only for 8186. They’re completely superseded by later game patches now.
Can you help me with NWtoolset. I have GOG-version of game. In game directory \Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition\bin\win32 I have nwtoolset and it's open normally. I was trying to open premium module "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" and others too with original nwtoolset which came when I installed game via GOG and after below warning:
It's open module, but with empty conversation tree, like this:
I have tried to download from this thread both nwtoolsets from below urls and unzipped them to same location there original nwtoolset is, like to \Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition\bin\win32:
But after that I got error "Error: could not open dialog.tlk and after I press OK, I got "Abnormal program termination" and nwtoolset doesn't open.
So my issue is, is this nwtoolset 1.5.0.2 showing a conversation tree, when you open module "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" or others, if yes, when how I can solve my problem?
P.S. I was tried to disable Windows defender and Avast Antivirus before opening new nwtoolset, it's doesn't help - same error. Only module "Darkness over Daggerford" showing conversation tree. Why so?
Those downloads, iirc, are depreciated. Use the toolset that is packaged with 8193.9 Stable or 8193.10 Dev. The HAK warning is a standard warning displayed whenever you open a module that has HAKs attached - its nothing to worry about.
AFAIK, to open the premium modules, you need to copy the files for it to your /documents folder - module in /modules (change extension to .mod), HAKs to /hak folder, and TLK to /tlk folder (if the module has one).
If you have NWN Explorer, you can also open the module with that and view/extract the files you are interested in.
Please add information about the BaseTypeID to the item properties window.
You already have that information - its in the box in the lower left labeled "Base Type Name," beneath the box labeled "Item Name." The name can be cross-referenced to the "Label" column in baseitems.2da.
While viewing the item properties of stacked items like gems or arrows, if you use the up/down arrow buttons in the stack field, they are always one number off. If I click the up arrow once to increment the stack size it should go to 2 but it stays at 1. If you click a second time it will then go to 2, however the actual number of the stack does increase to 3. So it's just the number represented in that box that is off. If you close the properties and reopen, the correct number of the stack is there.
Any news on preview window flashing models? See it has been mentioned like a year ago, but doing a quick search ("preview") didn't notice anything else on it, though tbf I could have missed it.
Doesn't show the model unless you are moving the mouse around the model preview window, which causes it to flash as you move the mouse (disappearing when you stop).

I'm happy to confirm that the issue is resolved with the .7 dev patch.
However, just for any future reference I am running:

I can't reproduce this: deleting an area and placing the starting location elsewhere works. Can you prepare a test module and specific steps to reproduce?
As far as I know, the designation is never stored anywhere, the switch is not a property of the item, it is there just to control the preview window.
As for reproducing in 8193.9:
1. Create a new module.
2. Create two areas.
3. Open the area WITHOUT the StartingLocation.
4. While the area from Step 3 is still open, delete the area WITH the StartingLocation - at this point my Toolset was crashing.
2. I found a copy on moddb site but when I try and open it says error with dialog.tlk.
I would prefer to get the legit out of ban copy.
