I don't know how things work where you live, but in the business world, money is needed to make things happen. ALL game companies have to make new products to keep the money coming in; that is just how it works. 90% of these companies, including the giant corporations, completely abandon patching their old games in order to keep themselves alive. At that point, any patches either come from the fans or don't exist at all. I really think you guys should thank your lucky stars that Beamdog can afford to keep patching their old games at all! I know I do...
So if they want to keep money flowing in to fund future projects why not come up with a new game in the Infinty Engine, at the same time fixing issues with the engine and UI? I know I would pay full AAA game price for some campaign like Curse of Strahd or Storm King's Thunder implemented in the infinity engine. Seems like that would kill two birds with one stone. Why sepnd time and money on a revamp of the UI for console when it's not even assured to make any money? It seems like the console crowd is not the target audience for these games, but I could easily be wrong.
Why don't YOU handle these problems, eh? Be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
The community could fix all the bugs that Beamdog introduced to the IE:EE engine if we had the source code. But only Beamdog has such access, so guess who that task necessarily falls to.
You constantly write about UI issues. The team is well aware of what the community wants. All those long feature requests on the Redmine, and all those threads are known to the developers. You demand answers and fixes with each comment, but it's not the rate with which patches can be provided. We're sorry.
There's been practically no progress on the UI issues since the release of Siege of Dragonspear. So it's not a matter of "you aren't doing it fast enough," it's more a matter of "it's been three years and you haven't done anything yet." The UI issues, along with some other regressions, have been decisively swept under the rug a long time ago. That's the reality of it: the issues are not getting addressed.
I'm fairly sure none of us actually hate you or want you to fail, we just get frustrated sometimes. We're always told "not in this patch, maybe next time." We're told that the developers hear our complaints. Well, after three years of the same, with nothing to show for it, it's hard to take those kinds of responses seriously. They just sound like empty platitudes.
I'm actually really rooting for you guys to finally start sorting it out, but with every announcement of a new game or a new set of platforms, the chances of that happening seem to become more and more minuscule.
I think the console versions might have actually been beneficial in (finally) tackling UI/pathfinding issues as the new platforms warranted a closer look at this issue and made it economically feasable at the same time. Now it just needs backporting to PC and (finally) get some parity.

I hope so, though the UI for the consoles look quite a bit different from the PC version, so I don't know how much of that development progress will be backportable. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Okay, After months of reading and being silent, and playing NWN with my new Wife, I am going to finally jump into the conversion.
1. First, I want to say, I want to thank everyone in the community, specialty Beamdog for their great support last year during my health and life trial, many dont know this, but Beamdog took the time out of there sch and sent me gifts and cards while I was in the hospital.
2. Secondly with that said I find it disrespectful with the way we been voicing out our opinion and with the way we been attacking each other in this and other threads as of late. I know we are passionate for our games, but there is more important things to life like life and health then fantasy and games, so lets tone it down a little, please, if not for respect do it for what i just went through, please.
3. Lastly, Your all family, I love you. I want Beamdog to have success if that in PC or console or a mix of both, I'm fine with that, I just want us to have fun together.
@Doubledimas Greetings, sir. Question regarding the console port of NWN:EE: I am certain you are aware of the attack bonus miscalculation bug in the current PC version of the game. Have you and Mr. @Shaiden been able to tackle this issue in the console and/or mobile ports? In case you were wondering, Bug #37442 on Redmine is what I am referring to. I look toward the day when there is parity on all three platforms.
@Torgrimmer Congratulations on both your nuptials and beating your illness. If I may make a suggestion, I think you meant to type "threads" instead of "threats" in your last post. It might be a good idea to edit your comment to better reflect the message you were trying to convey to the community.

@Doubledimas I understand, sir. Thank you for taking the time to answer me on this forum. It is nonetheless appreciated. Thank you for reading, and happy gaming to all.

Not to even mention whose responsibility it is.

Edit: Fixed "threats"to "threads"
