Me and Imoen have been trying to solve the iron crisis in Baldur's Gate. Imoen has been happily pickpocketing her way around the Sword Coast but for some reason she has decided to quit thieving and become a magic user. Not only that but she's gone straight to High Hedge and bought herself the Robe of the Good Archmagi. She can only cast one spell a day and I'm afraid the other mages will think she is a noob and laugh at her behind her back.
As a friend do you think I should say something?

If you keep enabling this behavior, you won't have enough gold to pay the toll into Baldur's Gate. You should definitely say something!
Thankfully, unlike a SR71A Blackbird, a Robe of Archmagi is entirely defensive and not dangerous at all.
It would be another thing if Imoen had bought a wizard's staff that let her cast Fireball three times per day...
Honestly, there's no reasoning with the girl.
Wow, she just doubled her spell capacity! Let's see @elminster do that...
I'll be a mage, if you want me to
Anywhere I will follow you
Say something, I'll cast some sleep for you
And I am feeling so small
It was stealing all time
I don't like that at all
And I will no more hide
I'm still learning the weave
Just starting to charm
Say something, I wear a ring for you
I'll be your mage, if you want me to
Anywhere I will follow you
Say something, I'll cast armor on you
And I will stop you the time
You're the one that I serve
I'm not saying goodbye
And I'll cast magic missile
That is my destined fate
So don't stop me now
Say something, I wear a robe for you
I'll be great mage, say you want me to
And anywhere I will follow you (Oh-oh-oh-oh)
Say something, I'll be the mage for you
Say something, I'll be the mage for you
Say something...
I don't know. I don't like to ask. But only yesterday she was swanning around in Shadow Armour and making out like she was the head of the Beregost branch of the Thieves' Guild.
And come to think of it, I did hear a rumour that the Sirines in the Song of the Morning temple had their pearls stolen. Then the next day Imoen turns up in a new dress. Probably just a coincidence though.
Insidious! Before long, you'll lose your status as protagonist.
Back in the pre-EE days I did once play with Imoen as my charname. I figured that she would ignore anything that Gorion told her so she just headed straight for the big bad city of Baldur's Gate (I used the save-game Gatekeeper to get her through the gates). There she hooked up with Alora and the pair of them had a high old time stealing everything that wasn't nailed down. It was fun seeing how many levels they could go up through thieving and fetching and carrying and never getting into a fight with anyone.
Now I'm imagining Alora doing the "Happy Happy Joy Joy" dance to distract some nobles while Imoen gleefully robs them all blind from behind. XD
Somebody should add a line like this in the NPC Project mod.
