The main thing holding back Icewind Dale 2: Enhanced Edition from being released is that some of the NPCs that can join the party don't have portraits, and we currently don't have anyone who's working on portraits.
Aside from that, IWD2EE is pretty much ready to be released. There will still be bugs here and there, but I can still fix bugs in later updates after IWD2EE is released. It's mainly just that the NPCs don't all have portraits. We really need help with that.

Just say the word. I am unable to offer ways to credit the original artists though. Have had these pictures for YEARS, so I can't remember where I got them all.
I'm sh*t at drawing, or I'd offer to draw them for you :-/
I monitoring this thread for three years and passionately waiting. Icewind Dale 2 is one of my favorite a play it about every 2 year past 20 years. Would by possible to join testing?

If you asked on r/baldursgate, I'm sure you'd find some people who could work on the portraits. Or you could use AI-generated art, at least as a placeholder to be updated in a future patch.
I already sent a beta test invitation request, and I eventually got a response to it, but by the time I found the response, the invite link and email either expired or never worked in the first place. I tried to reply back about it, but so far, I've received no response to it. What do I do?

AI-generated character portraits are easy to do. I've done a couple myself. With the right parameters you will get a portrait that is true to your vision of how your characters should look like. One easy way to try it out yourself, is to use the Image Creator inside the Edge web browser.
Here's just a couple I made with different styles of "Elven Ranger". You can of course make them look more like IWD old style.

Nice, I've been waiting since the announcement for this Would the EE discord become public? With this much changes of the gameplay and other things, it would be very useful to have a way to chat with playtesters who know much about the game, or just talk on some kind of communicator that is not a forum :v
Hello! IWD was my first cRPG and early 00s were great to me because of these games! *Although I never knew how to properly play the game and never finished it until I decided to give it a go a couple years ago (much easier with all the walkthroughs lol). Looking forward to see this project come to life! I appreciate all that are working to bring this wonderful game back!
