I tested it today and it worked just fine. I added additional block to twice as sure, but there is nothing there that would change the name. Unless you for example installed SoD mid-play or something like that, dunno.

Ah. Darnit. I really like Bristle! hahahaha.

Okay. Thanks for looking into it! I look forward to learing what you find out.

As I mentioned, I cannot reproduce it. I tried 4 times. That is why I said that perhaps you installed SoD after you already started the original campaign, or used an old save game on a new setup, or something like that. That is usually when such problems appear, and that would also match the problem with the animation (not just the wrong name)

If I remember correctly, if you install a certain option using the "Endless BG1" mod (I believe the "heal everyone after Sarevok's death" option, or something like that), then Bristlelick will appear as a regular human after the end of BG1.

There is a script (bgintro) that includes him morphing back to his gnoll-self. Now, I updated the mod, so the area script does that too; there are two scripts that do that too, to be twice as sure. And if the name is also wrong, then it's even weirder, because why would his name change upon transition? That is why I thought that maybe it's an old save used on a new SoD game OR that SoD or something was installed later on, something got messed up with the lines, and Brisdle's SoD content is missing (thus there is no script that would fix his animation).

Anyway, these are just guesses, as I could not reproduce it.

in the component "Flaming Fist After Final Fight", EndlessBG1 uses (for bg:sod and eet) amongst a resurrection and a greater restoration spell the spell "bddispel", which is used in SoD at three places for the party: in bdsodtrn.bcs (which gets called for a continuous game coming from BG1), the CoastWay Crossing bridge scene before Caelar talks (if not all crusaders are dead on the PC's side, bdcut16), and the scene above the *spoiler* in Dragonspear Castle basement, both before and after Hephernaan spoke (bdcut45a.bcs, bdcut45b.bcs).

I did have this happen with Grey the Dog NPC, too. It was, afaik, when I continued playing with an old safe in a new game and didn't have the Grey mod installed.
Just now, I replayed the transition to SoD after applying the bddispel.spl to Grey, and also the SoD portal cutscenes and Grey stays a dog.
