I'm gonna try. I've got two jobs to work through, so writing-time's gonna be scarce.

Maybe... I have seen this before, but cramming out 50,000 words in one go isn't my style (as my playthrough can atest). But I do have a story kicking around my head that wants out and this may allow me to get started... so:

Oh crap. Just made an account and realized I haven't even began to try and come up with a title for my novel-series-thing.
    Well.
I'm going to spend the next week doing that. XD

Titles are the worst for me. I haven't thought of one yet either.

I usually come up with a new title with every new draft. Jester's Cap started out as A Heroine's Journey. Jester of the Court (a different thing) started out as The Jester and the Prince.

"Title goes here" works for a working title for me. I usually come up with a title that I like half way through.

BTW doing the math, 50,000 words = about 120 pages.
You need to write about 4 pages a day in November to hit the 50,000 mark.
If you're going to be taking 2 days off a week, you need to write 6 pages a day.
If you're only going to write 2 days a week (IE weekend) you're gonna have to cram out 15 pages a day.

I like page counting more than word counting because I can time it better. Usually takes me an hour to write a first draft page. If I don't procrastinate (HA!) while writing, I can probably get one page done in a half hour.

    I'm assuming we're talking about twelve-point Manuscript font double-spaced one-inch margins?

    nope.

We're talking 1.15 spacing, eleven point font.

If we're going with a 12pt times new roman double-spaced

    47, 400 = 188 pages. so 50, 000 = 200 pages.

I have a character I want to write about, my character from a Shadowrun game I'm playing now. I don't want to set my novel in the Shadowrun universe though, so I have to do some worldbuilding. And I have an inciting incident but no plot. I'd like to do a little more outlining before November hits. I recently started using outlines (I never used to, for fiction) and I'm finding them really helpful.

Thankfully I've been writing up a homebrew D&D setting that takes inspiration from Arthurian legend, Paizo's Golarion, and Faerun. I have the characters, the world, now I just need a Big Bad Evil Guy, a reason for the characters to join up, and the entire rest of the story.
    XD

Ahhh, I remember when I was in middle school, and I used to write synopsis's for fun. Ha ha. Ha.

I like it, @Amber_Scott! Got that urban fantasy mafia thing going on. Are you writing with a YA audience in mind, or an adult audience?

You know, I'd intended it to be adult but you're the second person to ask if it was YA. I'm wondering now if I should try it as a YA novel (I've never written one before) since it's giving off that vibe.
