After that epic Monologue perhaps that axe is too underpowered!

yours are too OP for BG1
    and there are no disadvantages.

Not all of them. I was sharing the ones I liked best.

Surely it's the underepresented weapons that need love. Bastard swords and flails spring to mind, and katanas if we're talking BG1. There's also only 1 unique mace in BG1, all the way at the bottom of Durlag's tower.

Hand of Murder, Death Wish and Ogre Beater are definitely BG2 caliber weapons. The others, not so much.

    The Complete +2 Bastard Sword

This sword was the last of a set commisioned by a rich merchant house of Dupar. The merchants however were robbed at swordpoint and this sword was lost to the... scoundrels...

    + 2 THACO
    + 2 Damage
    + 2 Fire Damage

    Rainbow

    +1 Shortbow
The bow creates its own amunition, one of three kinds: flaming, lightning, or cold damage. However, after each attack the character changes colors randomly and takes a penalty to hiding.

And I'm a big lobbyist, per se, for Halberds for BG1. Also for other under represented weapons as well.

Halberds, Spears, Flails, Morning Stars, Bastard Swords, Darts, Throwing Daggers.

Long and Short Swords are so common. So are the Two-Handed Bastards.

Poor Melvin though..I foresee a collection of Melvin's items that will soon be obtainable :P
Boots and belt will be the next to work on.

    Boots of Melvin
    Boots +2

"Known to many as Melvin the Hysterical, he traveled the roads of Faerun as a Jester seeking adventure.
More often than not story's of Malvin's exploits would end in comical failure.
He always wore his green boots of speed until the tragic accident with a scythe left him legless."

    +2 DEX
    Grants speed to wearer
On entering combat wearer is effected by the horror spell with area of effect centred on wearer.

EDIT: I especially like this one as it will cause the party to run away in fear everytime they enter combat! Plus the wearer will run away at double speed!

@Anduin As opposed to his encounters with bottles of liquor that left him "legless" in a very different way? ;)
  • AnduinAnduin Member Posts: 5,745
@LadyRhian lol... I did write soemthing similar about a dwarf and the Friendly Arm Inn, but it just didn't read well... The combine harvester idea also did not fit!

Clubs! There isn't a single magical club in vanilla BG1, which is quite absurd when you think about it.

Let's have a magical club or 2, or just make the +1/+3 vs unnatural creatures club that's coded available.
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
Windcutter- +1 Halberd that can negate any wind-based attack at its bearer or knock a ranged weapon attack out of the air.

Boomerang- +2 Dart that returns to the hand of the wielder at the beginning of every round.

Soon after there was no opponent that could face Squika. She spread fear and terror among men who either run or commit suicides.
Soon after there was no man left and the tribe parished....
Only recently a deep cave was discovered and horrible fresco's on the wall and infamous weapon with hundrets of female sceletons inside.

    @kamuizin
phh...man..please and maybe you need to stop taking everything so serious since you cant see it from a humorus angle. Looks like you forgot to add "again" when you mention you dont want this wheapon near your balls...seems that your mind might be troubled after all.
  • kamuizinkamuizin Member Posts: 3,704
i was kidding with you there @Khamill, if you didn't get my joke try ask before flame, it's a more civilized attitude. For a person so found of humor, your actual behavior betrays that...
  • AnduinAnduin Member Posts: 5,745
@Khamil LOL! The nutcracker makes me cringe! I think there should be some weapons that only males or females could use... and hell, the female ones should make the males worry!

    Cloak of Many Melvins

""Known to many as Melvin the Hysterical, he traveled the roads of Faerun as a Jester seeking adventure.
More often than not story's of Melvin's exploits would end in comical failure.
He always wore his Cloak of Many Melvins until he died of exhaustion after meeting a Nymph, who just happened to be single, and one of a quadruplet, who all suddenly felt liberated and experimentive, after reading Fifty shades of Mage..."

    +2 INT
    75% Acid
    75% Fire
    75% Electric
    75% Cold
    75% Magic
When worn acts as if the wearer is under the effect of a mirror image spell cast by a lvl 8 mage however any hits to any of the images is quadrupled and recieved by the wearer.

@LadyRhian Hope you don't mind... Just borrowed your name...

    Lady Rhian's Stilleto

    +1 throwing dagger +1 strength

Lady Rhian was a Lady accustomed to the wearing of the most outlandish, most fashionable and the most expensive shoes in all Faerun. Frustatingly for Lady Rhian, her shoes became prime targets for thieves, who stole to order from jealous fellow Waterdeep aristocrats. Lady Rhian approached Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunson a newly arrived Mage of note and gave a design brief to create a shoe that would a) Be unstealable, b) Made the posterier swing stunningly c) Be absolutely fabulous to look at and d) If possible be comfortable to wear. Lady Rhian promised Khelben that if he could deliver all four points in a shoe, he would become the hero of Ladies everywhere. Khelben created a masterpiece! The shoes arched just so... A spell of bulls strength ensured that the wearer did not suffer foot fatigue, plus if removed forcefully they would magically return. Khelben did indeed become a hero and Lady Rhian became queen of the highstreet. She would often throw her shoes to the adoring crowds, but was requested to stop after some unfortunate stickings...
  • AnduinAnduin Member Posts: 5,745
All that for a +1 throwing dagger... I hope someone likes it!
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
@Anduin I don't mind at all! I actually made a magic item for my namesake, but it wasn't a weapon. It was Rhiannon's Staff of Healing. Made of Ivory inset with silver, pearls and opals, and capped in steel, it allowed the bearer to use charges to cast all sorts of Healing Spells, and though it looked to be made out of ivory, the staff was hard as adamantite/adamantine.
  • AnduinAnduin Member Posts: 5,745
@LadyRhian I like the staff of healing. Not thought to describe in detail what the objects are made from... On a completely different issue. Do you wear high heels?
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
@Anduin No, my feet are bad enough without wearing high heels. Flats, sandals and Birkenstocks are more my style.

    Embalmer Wrists - bracelets
These ancient bracelets was worn by high priests of Umberlee Church during sacred rituals of embalming.
The ritual itself was to capture the sea spirits and embalm them into a mummy's body. Such a creature can be easly controlled by a priest.
*Embalmer wrists can only be worn by a Priest class
*If target fail to save vs magic it suffers a " charm person or mammal" spell
*spell works the same as been cast from a spellbook, with only difference that the target has to be hit with melee weapon or unarmed attack.

    Less hardcore this time:)
@kamuizin sorry man, did not mean to offend you:)
