Funniest moment in BGEE for you

AnaxieAnaxie Member Posts: 79
I was playing recently with BG!NPC and Ctrl+I to get all the dialogue I could with NPCS I didn't intend to use. When I stumbled upon this vanilla gem from the EE that is Voiced.

Oh it was hilariious.

If you have Dorn and Tiax at one point Tiax shoots a charm spell at Dorn and Dorn starts laughing his ass off at Tiax. Oh it gave me quite a chuckle.

Or when Dorn is doing his DONT TRUST your friends speech where he pokes at each of the current members of the party. If Minsc is in the party his retort is quite funny.

As for BG1NPC material. Xzar and Monty are always an entertaining bunch. Monty could probably give Dorn a run as most sociopathic party member.

Quale should just probably be killed on sight. Can't stand any of his dialogue. Ajantus is to goody goody for his own good. Make fun of Mr Garbage can everytime you meet him.

The funny thing is even in the stock game if you have Xan and Ajantis in the same party every time Ajantis goes on a personal crusade Xan will talk him down by crushing his spirits (you can get this to happen by including Xan + Ajantis in the party and having any number of other evil NPCs).

The first guard in the Cloakwood Mines: "I'm a mean son of a bitch and I'm going to give you a world of hurt." -- dies immediately after.

Haha yes, and the guard to the right of him that says his missus is complaining because the stress of the iron crisis is taking 'the starch out of his maypole.' I laugh every time.

So I created a funny moment for myself. I am playing an evil aligned party, and try to roleplay the part a little bit (for example I made Minsc mad by refusing his offer and killed him)

So I got to the part in the bandit camp where there is a chest guarded by a trap. Since I had gone this entire way without a thief class, and since I have a thing about not letting any of my party characters die, and since I didn't want to use my 1 potion potion of invulnerability yet, I had to find another solution

I recruited some NPC thief (the one that wants you to look for some treasure), then had her come with me to the bandit camp. I said "your treasure is in there" and had her open the chest. She died. I was able to proceed with the story. Had to laugh because, rp'ing evil and all

You can call the bullshit on many npcs, like the Peter of the North claiming to be doing spelunking in a cave, or the druid that poisoned his brethren. They try so hard to be as persuasive as they can, but your pc can call bullshit as he sees fit. It ends in glorious violence, ofcourse.

Peter of the North is also an innuendo for a reallife porn-star of the same name. That cracked me up to no end when I learned. IIRC BG2 Viconia portrait was also based on a real life porn-star too. Wow. The original devs used to have rather joyous recreational activities and interests, it seems.

Maple-asen-willow or something that woman with tree names, that is also a little funny gem. Also that guy that offers long winded advices that mean absolutely nothing on the top of that one tavern in bg. Or the rabid chickens in poultry shop, surprise bird attack! Really bg1 has a lot of wacky/surreal characters and happenings.

The Spectator in the Saguagin city is amusing to no end. He even makes another appearance in TOB. Makes me laugh every time. I wish there were more encounters with him.

The first time I saw most of characters and enemies on the screen die to falling cows! This happened just once with Neera onboard. The damage was blunt and in level of Abi-Dalzim´s Horrid Wilting, and this happened in some random forest area.

Most of Xzar's and Tiax's antics make me laugh.

I just had one in mind for BG1, but I just lost it. There are a number of funny lines in that game.

Though none hold a candle to sheer gut bursting power as the BG2 room-of-pain monk's "The twofold Goddess has little use for math!"

Pretty much everything this guy says:

    https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/29207/vynd-drow-assassin-npc-now-available-for-bg-ee-tutu-and-trilogy/p1

Vynd: I want to ask you a favor

    Charname: What is it?

Vynd: When we meet our enemies just kill them. Don't go up and introduce yourself. I'm glad our enemies does this, but it's not a smart plan. Just. Kill. Them.
