Hey, can someone resize the Black PIts video? Please and THANK YOU!!!
smal sized encoded videos is only solution now try this: http://www.mediafire.com/?8ycm283n8y85p3m 1- replace all files inside movies folder to: "C:\Program Files\Beamdog\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\movies"
3- if u wwant old opening video rename old_intro.wbm to intro.wbm and do 2.... *** black pit video : http://www.mediafire.com/?t5sc97ccsvd8vk2 NOTES: This is smaller sized encoded videos of bgee For old computer and glichy sound problems.
I have a nice desktop tower with an Nvidia Quadro FX 3500 with all the latest drivers. My processor is an Intel Pentium D 2.8 GHz. I do not have any problems with anything else in the game graphics wise.
Windows 8 x64 AMD Phenom II 9600 ~ 2,3 Ghz 8 Gb RAM ATI Radeon 6970 Game run perfect, sound in movies still glichy. Try all solutions exept resized videos - nothing =(
Trying resized videos - strongly suggest to others with same problem to do the same. Videos run smooth. And don't fear of smaller size - on modern displays it's not so small Before dev's can fix the problem I'll use resized video. Thank you very much @Hwesta !

Seems that the general consensus is that resizing the videos is the best workaround currently, not sure what the status is on actually fixing the issue.
Best solution is simply left click when the movie starts which = movie over - play game - it's not rocket science.
Frankly it doesn't bother me much if fixing the movies (which are after all just a moment of fluff between chapters/locations) is not the devs first priority at this moment - no doubt they will be fixed eventually.
If the issue just recently started for you, there might be something wonky going on with your drivers. Shoot me an email at support@baldursgate.com and I'll take a look.
@Wanderon Let me get this straight...this game was already DONE in over ten years ago. This is supposed to be a completely bug-free, enhanced edition...several patches already came out...and there are still tons of bugs. How can it not bother you? This game cost me 20$.
The game was indeed done but required a laundry list of mods in the proper order to play on todays machines at todays resolutions (all of which came with their own personal touches that diverged from the original as the modder deemed fit)-
BGEE does that with very little trouble and as an "official version" stays truer to the original but it is NOT the same game that was finished 10 years ago it has been enhanced - those enhancements are NEW and like any new software are likely to develop bugs when they are originally released and played on a gazillion different machines instead of the relatively small number pre-release testing is able to be done on-
I spent well over $100 on the BG series as they came out so I consider $20 for BGEE as a bargain indeed and consider it money well spent - for the hundreds of hours I have already played with it.
For my $20 I am also happy to have devs working on something more substantially related to actual gameplay than a handful of fluff intro movies that require a mere click of the mouse to bypass until such time as they get them fixed.
@Nathan@Dee I just wanted to check in to see if any progress has been made on this (or if it's still actively being worked on). It's nothing game-breaking, so I understand that it's far from the top of the priority list, but it would be nice to see this dealt with at some point. Just thought I'd request a status update of sorts.
Well, I have some random popping noise during some videos, with others suttering, even in VLC. Tried with both of my soundcards but was the same.

Some of the file formats have changed, and so that could be part of the issue, but if you don't tell us anything about your computer I can't help you.

Thanks.
It plays fine for a second, then seems to 'hang' for a few seconds and either my left or center speaker buzzes, and then continues.
System specs check spoiler
If you want any more information let me know.
No other sound issues either in game or in general.
