Cowboy Bebop (duh) Planetes Welcome to the NHK Trigun Haibane Renmei Mushishi The Girl Who Leapt Through Time The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (and the movie whose name I forgot) Samurai Champloo Kaiji
The above are probably the only anime of note I've seen that had enough of an impact on me for me to remember their names. Basically I'm into drama/slice-of-life series that focus on narrative and invoking strong emotions in the viewer. I've never been into action anime since the whole "This is my ultimate form! Prepare for my super ultimate quad buster super move of deaaaaaath!!!" thing is pretty tiresome after about 5 minutes. When I do watch an action series all the way through it's typically because the fighting eventually takes a backseat to the story and characters, like in Cowboy Bebop. If a movie or show has made me cry at least once and made me laugh/smile multiple times it has done it's job.
So, if anyone could recommend me something like that I would highly appreciate it since I have some free time and want to get back into anime.
I've been waiting for years for FUNi to release this and soon it comes to fruition! And the best part is, there's been debate as to whether they would outsource the dub back to the Ocean Group for dub continuity, they said they did, but with this trailer, it's proof that they did! Which is just awesome!
Seriously... Nothing about Rurouni Kenshin. Best samurai anime ever. I could never get into the serialized manga and anime because it just takes to damn long for anything to happen. Lets see other good animes I know Trigun Cannon (2006 version the older one is just awkward) Soul Eater The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumia thats all I know I really don't watch anime too much.
There seem to be a few good animes this season. Shingeki no Kyojin is a very risky anime, but it has quite a bit of potential. It's actually an original concept for once. Suisei no Gargantia also seems to be worth the watch. Hataraku Maou-sama is my current fav. of the season. In the first episode alone, it went from kickass action fantasy to hilarious comedy slice of life. Interesting mix, and I can definitely recommend it.
Yeah, this season has quite a bit of potential. I've been highly anticipating Oreimo 2, which will finish the full story. Though I'm kind of saddened that the 2 I was hoping for the most (Red Data Girl & Date A Live) haven't been licensed or legally streamed as of yet.
I haven't checked out Red Data Girl yet, but Date A Live seems to be a rather fun one. I don't see it lasting more than 12 eps though. Also, watching unlicensed anime via stream isn't exactly going to get you thrown in the slammer. ^^
So Attack on Titan started on CR today and I figured I'd try it out to see what all the hype was about. I just finished up the first episode and I have to say, that was actually a pretty damn good opening episode! I'll definitely be keeping up with the rest of the series since it's on CR as well.
Trigger posted their 2013 Anime Mirai entry w/ English subs on their YT page today! I've heard really good things about it so I watched it earlier and I have to agree, this anime so deserves a series to be made for it!

And since I just finished re-watching it, Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat would be a good one as well.

Nya~
1. Trigun
2. Darker than Black
3. Trinity Blood
4. Demon King Daimao
5. Bleach (All seasons)
Extra mention: High School of the Dead
The very next day after I said this, FUNimation licenses these two.
Expected, but still shitty that these get the "import" treatment rather than a true R1 release with the dub cast that they used for the series.
So I'm watching Detroit Metal City on VOD currently.
And I have to say, this series is just funny as hell!
Btw, my favourite manga (the anime version is not as good) is "BASTARD!!".
So Attack on Titan started on CR today and I figured I'd try it out to see what all the hype was about.

However, the anime is just flippin' brilliant!

WooHoo!
More GuP on the way!
That was such a surprisingly awesome series!
I'm glad it's getting more, though it's kinda sad that it's not a second season.
Top that i can think of now ( which is insanely hard since i like too many ).
1. Berserk
2. Great Teacher Onizuka
3. Kara no Kyoukai the Garden of Sinners
4. Fate/Stay Night
5. Strawberry Panic ( Don't ask... )
6. Black Lagoon
7. Fairy Tail
8. One Piece
Bah they are too many :<
So, I've been watching Attack on Titan on CR and I wave to say...
This series just rules!
They really know how to keep the suspense up and make you come back each week to find out what happens next.
