I'm only 3 episodes into this one, but you might like this one as well. It's from the current Spring '13 season, so it's not finished airing yet, however...
@ajwz Yotsuba!& I also got a recommendation at my library for Sgt. Frog as being similar to Azumanga Daioh. But I have never watched either series. I just read the manga. So, YMMV.
@ajwz I'll second the recommendation for My Ordinary Life and add Daily Lives of High School Boys. If it's more gag stuff that your interested in there's Polar Bear Cafe or maybe Yakitate!! Japan.
My god, this series is just awesome! Wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but after watching the first 2 eps., man it sucked me right in and is just funny as hell. Especially Tomoko's random faces and nihilistic internal discussions about others around her.
Got through sitting through the entire Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (2012) series in one sitting....REALLY hope they continue with the other parts. (the first opening included a few rapid scenes all the way up to part 6 and the teaser for part 3 at the end of part 2...so..here's hoping).
And watch Dragon Ball from beginning to end (including Z). And Monster....and Hellsing Ultimate. And the new Berserk.
Should check out Attack on Titan. It's technically Shonen, but thus far it's done its best to deconstruct almost every shonen trope. Every time someone starts talking about believing in themselves or the power of friendship...get ready for a cast wipe, cause the titan's didn't get the memo they're in a shonen manga and that that shonen hero BS is supposed to make the character invincible.

The first season was really fun, though it had a definite resolution, so I'm not too sure where they're going to go from there.
The upcoming Summer 2013 season is going to be awesome!
