Obviously, I'm a watcher. Helm said so! But I have no idea what "game" you are talking about, and I find the climate on the Sword Coast is not very cool. It's moderate all year, so if someone told me it was cool in Baldur's Gate, I'd recommend them to buy a warmer cloak.
50/50 actor/story teller, i dont think i could realy be one with out the other, what makes playing a character fun is how they respond to the story and what makes the story and characters fun is that my own character is an active part of it.
Actor/Explorer I RP my characters but I also frequently quicksave and reload lots just to head multiple conversation options, and I compulsively explore every nook and cranny of an area before moving on.
Because I've played this game many times and my desire to try something new only encreases I've decided to choose Thinker. I try to evaluate my inventory every time a difficult battle is coming and get the most pleasure when I find an interesting key to solve the problem. On my current run at a random speedy contest there're often no memorized spells available (due to no resting) so it forces me to use wands, potions and scrolls. Finding out how brilliant a Potion of Magic Shielding is has given me chills recently.
@bengoshi Ditto what you just said. In all the years I've played BG I had never realized just how powerful Silence is until just yesterday in my random-generated party no-reload speed game. It sort of blows my mind that I've missed that. But anyway, I love exploring innovative ways of playing the game that force those discoveries, as you say.
BG is an RPG? What is this!?!?! I thought it was about strategic combat! Well I'm not playing this anymore. See ya!

In all seriousness, I'm mostly powergamer because I don't really pay attention to all the content on any runthrough after the first. It's mostly "Pick a class, pick a party, complete all quests, distribute loot ideally..." etc. etc.
I was thinking explorer but I do not do everything in one play through. I think it is a mix of 25% actor, 15% explorer, 10% Storyteller and 50% instigator. If I feel my character isn't changing the world (slowly) I may lose interest in the game quickly.
Most of those options I do at one point or another (power gaming is about the only one I don't...tried it...but it's no fun at all after the first few minutes of power-tripping)....but at it's core, I definitely want to change the world (for the better) both to increase the enjoyment of the combat system at all levels of play (as well as give fighters something to do besides JUST swing a weapon) as well as fleshing out the system in such a way to give social oriented classes their times to shine, giving classes their PROPER abilities (be it for better or worse), and enforce most dialogue choices based on stat/class (ala Torment style), to make the stat distribution much less straight up combat, as it is now. (Proper fatigue system, rather then the easily ignored joke currently in-game....also resting limits to restore some of the proper checks on magical power).
I would say Actor. I'm usually used to play the main character according my own personality. I mean, I made my protagonist the closest to me it could reach. I choose dialogue options as I would answer them, since I'd say, my Charname is me with some minor differences. I'd so love to have some kind of system that allows to actually write what you oughta say or want to say in the proper situation as such Romances. I'm used to actually almost feel what the character feels; not getting into the game seriously I mean. It's more like projection. Like forebode what would you do if you were in that situation, but not loosing your touch to your reality. It's something interesting xD And well, I'm not only actor; It's a mix of actor, instigator, and explorer xD Storyteller would fit in here, but since I'm mostly playing the game, feeling I'm the protagonist, actor is the main factor of the kind of BG player I am xD
I consider myself a storyteller because I've written a fanfiction based on BG:EE, and so far nobody has hated it. I study the plot and story extensively and sometimes I end up with improvised ideas that could be used in a fanfiction.

That's pretty interesting. I haven't read yet Ff's based on BG saga, and well, I've got a reason why; Saw the kind of BG player I am, and... reading FF's based on BG saga kinda unconfigures my state of getting my mind into the real story of the game xDDD Alright, I'm mentally healthy. But there are some dreadful stories wandering around forums and special pages that I cannot bear them xD It'd be interesting to take a look at your stories anyway. What's the main subject-matter on them?
50/50 actor and powergamer. I play as myself and also torture myself by playing a wholly evil character. I enjoy both, but I also think powergaming knowledge helps in applying the actor part more widely.
There needs to be a choice that says 'A bit of all of the above'.
I am not a power gamer, but I do enjoy when my characters get powerful enough to be a formidable presence. I love the story, but have played the game so many times that I know it by heart. I am a Role player by nature and really get into the part of Charname in specific detail. I enjoy exploring and completing every single map.
Ok, I generally don't Mod the game. I have two or three 'standard' mods that I use, but I don't seek out new ways to alter the underlying game play. I also am not a 'casual' gamer who only played the game once and only then because someone recommended it. And I don't have green skin and live under a bridge (most of the time).
