Favourite Sprite.

The baldurs gate in game sprites are sooooo nostalgic and sometimes hilarious.

Which sprite do you like the most, be it monster or character model.

The Githyanki, for some reason. Whenever I see them in other D&D games, they always seem... wrong; simply because I'm too used to their BG look.

Female vampire - I like the little dance they do.

Female Elf Cleric. Lich is a close second.

All the character sprites. Especially the elven and dwarven/gnome/halfling ones. And humans in plate armour. Basically ALL the sprites of BG1 and BG2. I just love 'em.

@Shandyr, your post just made me think of Deekin!

One sprite stands out in my mind from this topic, and it's not even a BG one - it's the Icewind Dale skeleton warriors and their death animation.

They kind of spin around and do a little dance as they die. I have no idea why, but that stands out in my mind among all the infinity engine sprites.

@ZelgadisGW, is there a linkable set of animated sprites like that one of the Slayer you just posted?

@Shandyr, indeed. The kobolds are supposed to be reptilian dragonkin, but they look and act like little scaly chihuahuas. They're a cross between a lizard and a chihuahua, I suppose. Cute, but they love to yip and bite you on the ankle.

I'm quite partial to the elves (male and female) in chainmail. And the crouching shadow thief model that Renal Bloodscalp uses.

The fire elemental and magic golem sprite. They look less like flames and more like a swirling mass of a colored vortex coming after you. They also have the best "attacking" sound affect in my opinion.

My favorite was the human male BG 1 cleric sprite in plate armor. Unfortunately it's gone :( I loved matching my sprite to a portrait and it matched very closely to the blue armored human guy. I used gatekeeper to change my paladin to that sprite. But alas, the bg 2 sprite isn't quite the same

I love the Fire Elementals. They look so awesome.

    After that, Dwarves of course.

The character sprites in Torment tend to be larger and more detailed than those from the other games. I tried once to see if I could copy them into Baldur's Gate, and succeeded... they were huge. Grace and Annah towered over my Bhaalspawn like two giant... things, striding across the landscape. I thought I should scale them down, but... well, I was just idly messing about. Never went any further with the endeavor.

Shadow Thieves. Their armour and red hood combo just looked really cool to me. I love their martial arts animations and ready stance and how they hold their sword.

There are many good ones, but my most favorite would be mind flayers. Scary folks.
