So, there goes a first mention of the trailer here, it shows there's already something in this sense, that is completed or near the completion.
Also, I'm intrigued by how the trailer looks like, if it is different from any of the EE ones. Maybe a cinematics of the those dark circumstances from the prologue of BG2? And an Irenicus's laughter in the last seconds?
I'd even take a trailer with a completely black screen and new voice over lines, lots and lots of them, in the background so that we could endlessly discuss which lines belong to whom and under which circumstances we could hear them... With an epic music and the symbol of Bhaal in the end, of course!
Should we take it so that there will be major choices in the plot of the Adventure Y? I don't know these children of Light and Death, who are they? - The only children I know are the children of Bhaal, that is more than simple Light or Death.
Or maybe it's just a reference to the option of an alignment-based party at the start of the Adventure Y? If so, I would notice that "good" doesn't always mean Light, as well as "evil" doesn't always mean Death.
really looking forward to this trailer, glad to hear that it will be different than these previous, in the game i really would like to see better graphics also
Last couple of weeks... really curious what is Beamdog going to come up with! And how good it will be, whether it will allow them to make a full fledged BG successor next.
One thing that I will miss though is any sort of housing/stronghold. I really enjoy this aspect in all RPGs. De'Arnise Keep in BG2 is pretty much my favorite castle of all RPGs. In BG1, I used the Thieves Guild as a homebase :P
I imagine not a lot of people know about it outside of this forum at this point. I'm thinking the announcement of a new BG game will likely make some waves, though.

I think it's more a reference to Daigle no longer being the one that creates the trailer and that someone else has taken over, not that he's finished the trailer.
Although saying that, it may have already been finished by someone else..
It's funny that the Adventure Y is ranked only 215th so far at Most Anticipated Games by www.favslist.com
Seems reasonable enough: there's no official announcement, no substantial information about it (kudos for picking through Twitter accounts, but 90% of your "official info" is interpretation, not facts), and two botched, half-assed launches on record. Considering the competition, everything being announced at E3, and other studios stepping up their CRPG game? I'm surprised it's not lower.
Trailers are being built, I actually just shot back my latest feedback for one of them. VO is done as of this week, but we're still in the process of mastering it and getting it into the game. We're working with outside professionals to make our trailers look great.
VO work has been extremely interesting. I'm planning a blog post for the "behind the scenes" of how VO works--selecting lines, auditioning, recording, take selection, and mastering. I think it's scheduled for about a month out.
Surely you'll have to do it faster than that, Amber? In "about a month", aren't you going to be up to your ears in the hullabaloo surrounding the announcement of AdvY?
I know that Amber turned down a high-paying* job as Outplay judge this year in order to focus all her energies on Adventure Y. So y'all better appreciate it.
I'm becoming more and more interested in the person with that line. I take this is the same person who's voice is very loud, louder than the Minsc's voice even, of whom we were told several weeks ago, isn't it?
P.S. I blame you, Phillip. Now every time I launch the game, I say "WELCOME BACK TO BALDUR'S GATE MOTHERFUCKERS" in my head...

I don't think that's a voice over line. He was making a joke of an overly aggressive powerpoint presentation in a tweet immediately before that. Still, that would be amazing if that was the first line you hear in Adventure Y!!
This ostentatious peacock-blue hat is festooned with green and purple feathers. Once the possession of an unfailingly chipper bard, the hat was stolen when the bard couldn't resist showing off the hat in a seedy tavern and bragging about its magical powers. In truth the hat has only moderate enchantments on it, but its stylish appearance makes it a coveted choice for many bards.
Immunity to silence and deafness
Bard song effects linger on for 2 additional rounds after the bard stops singing
Wait, that last one isn't in any of our games. How did it get on the list?
Aha, it's from Adventure Y! That explains it. We hope you enjoyed this look at how items are designed (and the sneak peek of the Adventure Y bard hat).
Will Kensai char models have some upgraded attire (character model, not gear)? Or will it be more Zardoz fest? (ie maybe have at least one robe wearable by all, that's just for appearance, no bonuses).
I think Kensai characters already have everything they deserve. Think of it as the price you pay for jumping on the mainstream hype-train that is the Kensai class and it's Dual Class abilities.
Now an engine tweak/re-jig that allows you to select the character models for Dual/Multi-Class characters, instead of being lumped with the Fighter>Mage>Thief hierarchy, THAT would be a dream.
Looks like from her picture, Amber has already acquired the hat. I wonder if that means it is early in the game or late in the game. Also I hope that these new items can be imported into BG2EE

Also, they continue voice over sessions a bit:

I'd expect it to go higher as soon as the announcement was made and if the voting system there didn't require a registration.
Although saying that, it may have already been finished by someone else..
*(Does roleplaying XP count? It counts, right?)
I disagree as well.

Interesting to see that the head of the company finds surprises in the game;)
New HD-reworked 3D realtime-rendered character models confirmed!

It all begins with the addition of a hat..
I wish >.>
