Cats....or dogs
Alright, there's probably already one of these, but I believe it was suggested by @shandyr on quartz's dumb love life thread, and I searched and couldn't find one, so I decided it was worth making. So, as you would suspect from the title: are you a cat person, or a dog person?
And yes you have to choose one. Don't yell at me for not making a miniature giant space hamsters choice. We all know that that's everyone's second. If you hate animals, then choose the least-worst option.(cats)

AND I would choose the Miniature Giant Space Hamster. Or a Undead flirting female zombies, like Morte.
They are clever, four-legged, furry little things that make grumpy faces, climb into boxes, lay on a bed of stinky shoes, curl around your legs, and purr.
But I have had four cats in my lifetime... And I've lost each and every one within a few years. Most ran away, another was struck dead by a speeding car. We've tried to keep cats inside, but after a while, the call of the wild howls in their hearts, and they start throwing fits in the house. Our last cat started peeing on the carpet on purpose until we decided to start letting him outside. He ran away within the first week.
Sometimes I still think about him. The way he'd sit patiently on the floor of our office, swaying his bottle-brush white tail back and forth. Until I finally caught his eye, and he'd leap into my lap while I played on the computer. In the middle of the night I would wake to find him cuddled against my legs in bed. And, of course, the purring. The soft murmur as he rubbed his body against my legs, just to show he was happy...
It is heart-wrenching to own a cat. You pour so much love and devotion into these creatures, yet most of them don't last five years. It's been a long while since our last one, and I would like to have another. Perhaps someday, when I've moved out of my parent's house and into an apartment somewhere. I could rekindle the lost love of these furry critters...soothe the old wounds of a many-broken heart...
In the meantime, however, it's dogs for me.
Meh, I'm more of a lizard person anyway.

The thing with dogs is that, unlike cats, the breed really, really matters. I like small dogs (just call em puppies) that don't bark. Can't stand loud dogs that don't know when to stfu! So annoying
This one is my favorite though:
