As I learn more from this forum, I realize how much about the game I didn't know about. There were items, strategies and spells that could have made my life a lot easier against various monsters. There were dialogue options I had never been given. Easter Eggs I never knew about. Etc, etc.
I was interested in seeing this kind of topic ever since my boy @Quartz said that he never made Crom Faeyr. So I made this thread for us all to confess our Baldur's Gate sins. Come and admit that you never completed your stronghold, you've never even heard of Kangaxx, never killed Firkraag or are still dying to know where Hull misplaced his longsword.
I'll begin:
Confession: I have never done the Viconia romance.
Confession: I have never played a thief character.

Confession: I've never played a dwarf, or a gnome character.
Confession: I've never done a Cleric/Ranger playthrough in BG. I've attempted this several times in IWD, but I just can't do it.
Confession: I've never used a single Baldur's Gate mod. Ever. I also intend to remedy this.
Confession: I played Baldur's Gate 2 before Baldur's Gate 1. *hangs head in fake-shame*
Confession: I never done any romances besides Hexxat's.
Confession: I only played BG2 2 times with a party, and only two in BG1 too.
Confession: I never had a druid in my party.
Confession: The only classes I've fully beat BG1 and BG2 with are Stalker and Cavalier
Confession: My wizard slayer is in ToB right now, but I haven't played her in months
Confession: I have never done a Good aligned playthrough in BG1 nor BG:EE.
Confession: I have never done a no-reload game.
Confession: I have never touched the Anomen romance.
Confession: I was killed... by Tasloi.
Confession: I only beat the entire Trilogy twice: once with a TN female elven Fighter/Thief, and once with a CG gnomish Fighter/Illusionist (in that order).
Confession: I've never played any Paladin, Barbarian, Druid, Monk, Wild Mage or Sorcerer.
Confession: until I installed the Item Randomizer mod, which randomizes its location, I always used to buy Vhailor's Helmet only to use its Simulacrum ability two or three times at most.
Confession: I've never played a dwarf, and I've only played a human character once in BG1.
Confession: I never played an evil party but intend to try
Confession: I once went through the game as a "drow"
Confession: I have never played a druid because for the longest time I could never justify a druid who was raised in a library fortress.
Confession:I have a soft spot for half-orcs but have never played one.
Confession:I often cheat in the game to make it easier for myself once I'm convinced I could have beat it without cheating.
Confession:I often leave Minsc and Jaheira behind because they wern't with me and taking them along messes with my head canon.
Confession:I still often save them because I feel bad about not doing so.
Confession:I actually had a childhood crush on both Aerie and Viconia.
Confession:Not on Jaheira though. SERIOUSLY WOMAN! KHALID *JUST* DIED! KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS!
Confession: All my PCs have had 18 charisma minimum
Confession: I've also never played a game without one of the romance options
Confession: Whenever I play evil, it's with a female.
Confession: I always use the console. To console some items I need, some monsters for xp, CTRL J to move around, CTRL 8 to stop rerolling sometimes.
Confession: I once did a playthough in which I consoled Shandalar and Drzzt in my playthrough.
Confession: When doing the Trademeet quest, I always bring a party member with my best equipement next to the arena. I then give it all to the fighting druid so he has a huge advantage.
Confession: I only played with a male PC 5 times, while I played with Female PCs 13 times.
Feel the backhand of Poetic Justice!
Confession: I play the same character pretty much every time.
Confession: I have never finished a game with anything but a good-aligned NPC.
...Yup. This is happening.
Confession: Whenever I play a thief, they have to use a bow, and they never ever go melee. This includes multiclassed, and dualclassed thieves.
Confession: I beat the whole BG Saga with a Wizard Slayer and I think Wizard Slayer is a pretty good kit.
Confession: I've never played a shorty. Or a human. I'm a sucker for elves.
Confession: on minimum reload runs I intensional get CHARNAME killed so I can reload.
Confession: I can't figure out custom portraits on my App Store version of bg2
Confession: I have the App Store version of bg2
Confession: I found the beamdog emails in my spam box right after I bought the App Store version.
Confession: i always feel really bad to tell imoen to find her own way in spellhold. I always imagine she is a 7th party member
Confession: i used to cordially hate BG1. Kobold Spawn rates in firewine ruins on my first playthrough had lots to do with this. With EE i have to say I have really re-discovered the game
Confession: i always thought playing solo or no reload was for the clinically insane. Turns out it is manageable!
Confession: I always play human (until the no reload challenge). I also think specialist mages/sorceller are way worse than the vanilla one. Not able to copy every spell in existance? What if I ever need to cast infravision???
Confession: I think Enchanters are the best specialist mages... Who needs Evocation anyways?
Confession: I use Multiplayer to make me an extra character to fill the Thief role because I think almost all the NPC thieves are horrible.
Confession: I've never finished Throne of Bhaal.
Confession: I flippin' hate Edwin.
Confession: Many of my characters dual wield daggers.
Related Confession: I could give a horse's patootie about APR. I have my meat shields for a reason. I just hang back and sing, or as I like to call it, perform. Sometimes I will set a guy on fire if he gets too close. If all else fails, I stab him.
Lesser confession: I think Aerie is a whiny, doe-eyed idiot, and I don't care who knows it.
Outside of those two cases, all of my runs have been Neutral and/or Evil from the get-go.
Confession: I only use the CLUAConsole for one thing - to add in an extra scroll case for all the books and letters I pick up along the way.
Confession: I roleplay heavily with the books, always waiting until I get to an inn to sit down and read one or two by the fire. Honestly, I wish they were longer and that there were many more of them.
Confession: I keep everything I've already read, hence the extra "scroll" case, just like I used to in real life, (I used to travel with a duffel bag full of books), before I moved to a big city and had to leave all of my tomes with my parents (50% of them were stolen from my dad in the first place).
Confession: I wish Bards weren't race-restricted. It makes absolutely no sense - every race should have its fools, storytellers, musicians, etc. artists. Plus, I want to play a Dwarven Skald and a Gnome Jester. Confession: I find this quite hilarious.
I'll have to develop a full list. I'm sure people will be surprised and horrified by how much of a filthy casual I am.
Confession: I have never played evil
Confession: I have only played with the canon groep
Confession: I have never played with a mod
Confession: I never enjoy taking my BG1 NPCs into BGII. The games are just so different it's always off-putting so I never get very far. I tend to keep things rather separate.
Confession: I've only played a few mods. Xan NPC which I stopped using immediately due to the godawful voice acting (I have heard it is otherwise good, yes), Kivan NPC which was alright, and Romantic Encounters which was also pretty bad.
Confession: I have a hard time playing BGII as anything NOT a Thief of some variety. Certainly never gotten far.
Confession: Again as mentioned, I've never made Crom Faeyr. Screw that I'll keep the two strength items.
Confession: Never gotten Staff of the Magi and honestly I haven't got a clue where it is. I guess I'll find it eventually.
Confession: I've been Shanked.
Confession: I like Aerie.
Confession: I love Anomen.
Confession: I once went through the game as a "drow."
Confession: My least favorite classes to play as a PC are Monk and Mage.
Confession: BG1 > BGII
Confession: Once I discovered the Console, I made a character with Tiax' portrait named "TASP" and what he did was summon chickens to kill all his enemies. Lots and lots of chickens.
Aaaaand here's the one I'm gonna exit on, that I will gladly elaborate on if provoked:
Confession: Some days I'm pretty sure Icewind Dale > Baldur's Gate series.
*Runs*
Confession: I'll never go solo. There are other games for that. For me, BG is all about the party interaction.
Confession: I'll romance anything just to see what the story is like.
Confession: I pretend the evil characters in my party aren't really evil. This has proved impossible with Dorn, however, and actually makes me queasy.
Confession: I did NOT kill the Iron Throne leaders at Candlekeep! I may, however, have walked too close to their meeting room, got yelled at, and transformed one of them into a squirrel on my way out.
Confession: I like bg1 better.
Confession: Wikipedia says that longswords where to handed. I disagreed.
Confession: I have a Mage robe. I put it on when I get bored.
Confession: I beat Vanilla BG 1 at least a year or two ago.
Confession: When it comes to mod NPCs, I think Kivan is the best one.
Confession: At times I think Icewind Dale is better than the whole Baldur's Gate Saga.
Confession: I rolled a 90 something on an elven Beast Master and haven't played that Elven Beast Master yet.
Confession: When I play a bard, they have to use a ranged weapon. The exception to this is Haer'dalis.
Confession: I think Cernd is one of the top divine spell casters in BG2, and I would rather use him as such instead of Jaheira, or Viconia.
Confession(EE Style): I really don't like Clara "I failed at everything that I've done!" the NPC, and I'm rather grateful that Hexxat murders her to spare me from her presence.
Confession: Sometimes I like to dual Sarevok into a thief.
Confession: I don't like Edwin, and I think Neera is a way better mage than him.
Confession: At times I really don't like Minsc.
Confession: When playing a Mage, multiclass, or dualclass, I avoid doing the planar sphere quest.
Confession: When playing a Mage/Thief, I always take the thieves guild.
Confession: When playing a Fighter/Mage, I take the Keep instead of the Planar Sphere.
