Worry not wingless-elf, Sarevok lives. Go grab your gem.
OOC: DM Said "Aerie is staring at the gem, looking fascinated. "I think it's a wishing gem," she tells Alora. She says she sees no traps on the throne, or the gem."
Trust yourself lil Elf, grab that Gem and wish for wings again.
And the DM had a hard time holding back a smart remark on where Sarevok could stick the end of the scepter...
Crown... Crown, scepter. See, I can think these things through.
*touches silver end of scepter to the crown inlaid in the throne. then INTELLIGENTLY touches gold end to the crown again and places crown on the throne and slips the scepter into his belt.*
There is a loud scrape as of stone on stone, and the throne begins to sink into the earth. Korgan dashes up and grabs the crown. "It's mine now!" he calls. In a few moments, the throne has disappeared, revealing a passage behind it.
Any chance one of you spell casters thought about memorizing dispell before our 2 balloons wander off in a fight? I hazard they become quite troublesome to use in the battles ahead. *muttering* not that we have any chance at all to defeat the creator of his damn maze.
Beyond, you see a 20' long, 5' wide passageway that leads up to gorgeous stone steps made of Onyx, pink marble, lapic, black marble, golden serpentine and malachite. The walls of the chamber are copper, untarnished and gleaming, set between panels of rare woods inlaid with ivory. The ceiling is of bright, polished silver, and reflects the light in the place. On the black marble step, you see a large, cylindrical bronze key.
The lich had good taste in interior design occasionally. Imoen checks the passage for traps. "Aerie, can you help me check for traps and try to dispel the floating on Kivan and Alora? Korgan, wait til we're in the passage, and then the gem could be all yours..."
OOC: DRAT! now I don't get to do the whole kneel before Zod routine. I still can't believe I got it right, 50/50 chance, I was sure I'd be dead. Anyone grabbed the gem, if Aerie passes on it, and Korgan too, then Sarevok will return while everyone else is moving down the hallway and grab it for himself. I'm thinking on my wish now.
Aerie casts Dispel on Alora, and it works. Alora falls about three feet before Minsc catches her in his strong arms. She doesn't even wake, and he drapes her over his pack to carry her. Unfortunately, she only memorized one Dispel Magic spell. She starts studying it again immediately, of course.
The gem pulses hot in Sarevok's hands. There is a pause, and a sword appears on the ground in front of him. The gem grows hotter and hotter, but he cannot seem to let it go...
BANG! The gem explodes, taking Sarevok out in a blast of flames and radiation. Sarevok is blasted into dust, and the gem turns into a patch of purplish slime, bubbling and chuckling evilly to itself.

Korgan, you belong to me now... Kneel before Sarevok or stay here for eternity.
