"Well, hey, I'm all for protection. Apparently, there's something really scary down that hallway. Just, don't go too far. We haven't checked the whole hallway for traps."
"Dear Gods no! The foul gerbil and its brain addled ranger, I am truly being punished. Show me that there is at least someone of intelligence here, maybe Edwina has returned, with beauty and brains the likes I have never seen again."
"he? Edwin was a he! That is wrong in too many ways... What do you mean, he WAS here. This place has already taken the only brain greater than my own. We must step lightly or all of us will experience the plane I have existed too long in."
Sarevok heads down the hallway to Kivan, shoving the weak Paladins aside.
Once again, you travel down the hallways. This time, only Keldorn flees. "Something about this place... I.. I can't..." he says before running again (for 4 rounds).
Imoen starts re-tracing her steps down the hall. She's sternly telling herself there's nothing to be afraid of. She's looking for traps or anything that looks like a glyph or ward.
"Pitiful Paladin, even the Gerbil shows no fear here. So be it."
Sarevok opens the door and prods the ground in front and the ceiling above with his pole before taking a single step in (I'm not saying he'll go in, if prodding produces anything, or if the pole sinks into the ceiling, i hate ceilings.)
Opening the door reveals 20' of stairs leading down. Your lights show a room beyond completely clogged by webs. Prodding with the pole shows no pits or other traps.
Comments
"There's nothing there. Now you roguish types keep moving ahead and look for traps."
Sarevok heads down the hallway to Kivan, shoving the weak Paladins aside.
"Oh no you don't. I've never seen such a cowardly paladin. You should be ashamed of yourself!"
"No need to be ashamed. Even Boo trembles a bit, it is no doubt some magical fear. We must face it, and show evil it is not the boss of us."
