    Very cool!

    I like the streamlining of the songs and the songs for kits.
    But why not let the Jester have his cool "Dance of Inanity" and also "Enervation" and "Dissonance"? That would make him the offensive/aggressive song specialist. Just feels (and sounds) right for me ;)

    Blade Dance should be fine. Its not like he can attack while singing and magic will still hit him. I see no problem there.

    Great idea. I think you should expand on the Jester's disabling abilities, like adjusting the saving throw as he levels or having new effects to play with (Stun, as in laughing so hard they can't stand up, even with a positive saving throw would be interesting). I know it doesn't fit the idea of the trueclass bard being the song specialist, but I think it would be cool to have each kit have a particular flavour they really excel at (Jester=disabling, Skaal=buffing, Loresinger=buffing ala cleric, Jongueler=debuffing, Gallant=I'm not sure, maybe something else holy or healing-related as they are a kind of Paladin/Bard?)

    I definitely like the idea of songs lasting longer as an innate, since even though HLAs aren't exactly at the "endgame", they are a healthy amount of time from the Friendly Arm Inn. Besides, LS doesn't exactly belong among the epic traps and the infamous Use Any Item.

    I've messed around with Garrick as a Gallant, but haven't really delved into the kit. Maybe they could have a scalable song that weakens them in some notable way but severely improves their friends (all about dat chivalry)? Mainly, I play a Blade (Rogue Rebalancing) or trueclass with IWDification if I'm a bard. Jesters are terribly OP, though, I'll give you that one. My invisible, sing-everyone-to-death-and-make-them-think-they're-haunted Jester was awesome, though. I'm not sure what Weakness does, but if its a minus to saves (stackable with Doom+Greater Maliason), that would be a great starter.

    I like the idea of Skalds being more "northern" but having a party of 5 berserkers might be a bit much. That poor bard. Whenever he sings, his friends go crazy with bloodlust. (Very Bhaalspawn, though)

    @subtledoctor I was playing around with the new version and install order suggested by you, unfortunately extra APR upon specialization for all classes seems not to work anymore. Specifically with a Magus PC and Branwen !

    Have a couple of potential bugs to report.
    Using the latest version 2.4.1, BG2EE. Other mods installed are UB, Dungeon be gone, RR, BG2 Tweaks and atweaks. All class and kit modules are installed.
    -If you make Valygar a Mage Hunter he will not be able to use his sword anymore due to insufficient constitution
    -Some NPCs like Dorn, Korgan, Imoen, Anomen do not get their correct number of proficiencies is seems. They only one pip on in a lot of things at most when they start off.
    -Circus quest might be bugged, Aerie just runs off and you get locked in a cut-scene after completing it.

    There seems to be a problem with the elf race. After choosing elf as my race I can't choose Bard as a class. I picked up Baldur's Gate EE after not playing the game since it was originally released, so the issue might be an incorrect installation.

    I'm not sure if this is correct, but can bards not cast arcane spells while wearing armor? If not, as a suggestion can you create a bard kit that allows leather armor and using bows? It's no wonder all the forum posts dump on bards as a player character.

    Elves cant be bards in BG, only humans and half elves and no, bards cant cast spells while wearing armor, this is all from the default game, not the mod.

    -Yes, Valygar can wear the armor but not the sword.
    -The NPCs I listed in the other post do not start at level 1 and lack some proficiencies.

    Will try reinstalling the mods on a clean copy and see if the problems still appear.
    When I tested a couple of versions(2.3.1, I think) ago the proficiency issue was still there even when I installed a minimum number of mods, only DBG and SoB(all components), on a clean copy and started a new game,

    *Update
    NPC proficiency and Aerie issues still stand with a clean install(using the recommended mod install order) and using a very conservative amount of mods. Used the same mods as in my other post with the exception of UB which I didn't install at all. Installed all components of SoB v 2.4.1.
    *Update 2
    Only used DBG, BG2 tweaks with the cut-scene addon and full install SoB.
    NPC and Aerie issues remain.
    For the dual classed characters like Anomen and Imoen pausing just as they join you will display their correct(?) number of proficiencies, Anomen for example had 2 pips in warhammer, flail and mace, as well as 1 pip in all the modded starting proficiencies. He however loses his extra specialization pips when unpauseing.

    Elves can't be bards in this game (nor could they in the original). I agree with you that's pretty dumb, but this mod has nothing to do with it. I'm pretty sure the BG2Tweaks mod has an option to remove racial class restrictions.

    I also can't find a description for the Forestwalkers of Rillifane Rallathil kit (automatic for elven ranger/druids) in the readme.

    To clarify. I'm using the "faster chapter 1&2 cut scenes" add-on from BG2tweaks. It might indeed be the problem since it has some other issues as well. However this problem first appeared in 2.4.1, circus quest worked fine in earlier versions.

    What happens is that Aerie simply walks off in her ogre form to face Khala alone no matter what I tell her. When Khala's last conversation is over Aerie walks out of the circus tent and I'm locked in a "cut scene". Ctrl-Y:ing Aerie in her ogre form "solves" the problem.

    There seems to be no errors or indications that something failed to install correctly.

    I uninstalled SoB and tried doing the quest. This time only with DBG and Faster Chapter 1&2- installed. This time the quest worked correctly.
    I uninstalled the cut scene add-on and installed SoB again. Only DBG and SoB are installed. Quest didn't work.
    Finally with the same setup as in the weidu log above I simply uninstalled Aerie's kit mod and tried again. Quest worked.

    @subtledoctor Acording to BiG World Project install order, BG2Tweaks comes after Stratagems so I cannot set you full install order. I've manage to add only Druid Class Tweaks requirement and "kits before refinements"

    Keep the current system. Make all the NPCs except the dual classed ones behave like your modified ones(i.e. have them start at level 1 like the PC). Give proficiency books to Anomen and Imoen.

    May I ask why? I always install BG2Tweaks before SCS, in fact I think I got that order from the BWP 11.2 PDF guide. ...

    I'm curious, is there any particular reason to install SCS before BG2Tweaks? What am I missing?

    Current BWP is 14.3 and I cannot answer you questions. For all things which are related to install order you have to ask Leonardo.

    From what I've see, mods became more and more complicated, they seems to change almost everything, having also doubled components from other mods and this all makes more and more mod conflicts that simply just cannot be solved at all. The only solution for BWS is to make more and more conflicts and just simply don't allow any mods-combination that can have mess up important things.

    BTW: finally, SoB is added to BWS and it's ready to release :)

    I guess using BWS helps with that... but then again I'm using a Mac. Does BWS still only work on stupid Windows? Any chance we can get a cross-platform version, in Java or something?.

    It helps a lot. No, there won't be BWS for MAC/Linux because there is no AutoScript/AutoIT for this platform. Rewriting it to Java is not a task for me or dabus. MAC/Linux users can use Wine.
    As a fan of Windows, let's not argue which OS is more "stupd" :wink:


    And great that SoB is in BWS! But of course, as Zamza has identified, users will get a bugged version :( Maybe I'll disable the proficiency overhaul in the master on Github until I fix it.

    You can do it without make new "Release" and that would be a best choice for now.
