Either way, it's just another reason that barbarians are better than berserkers. ;-)
Ironically, I feel that getting 1,000 gold so early actually makes the game too easy from thereon in, so now I deliberately avoid finding it.

So by level 3 I'll have enough points in two weapon fighting to start dual-wielding properly, and I can pick up the Thresher in Baldur's Gate by the time I hit my final proficiency
I can't wait to destroy BG2 with the FoA + DoE combo.
Of course this is practically me spoiling myself after my solo monk run, lol.
Or was this patched?
