It's great for baking. Not just for the treats themselves, but also for frosting.

Plus powdered sugar on french toast and pancakes is super yummy. ^_^

Maple Syrup followed by Brown Sugar. Maple syrup gets first because it works on pancakes, waffles, sliced peaches, etc. Basically a lot of things. Plus the real mccoy is so good its caused the creation of shall we say cheaper alternatives (Aunt Jemima's, etc)

Brown Sugar gets 2nd because its white sugar and molasses combined. Combining sugars is just a big win! :)

I'm mean real maple syrup, for sure. My grandfather produces it in small quantities so I'm quite familiar with it. I cannot tolerate anything but the real thing. I'm quite a snob, really.

you forgot the best thing it goes with:

    Bacon

That alone should give it the win.

Oh, it's just a play on the whole 'artificial=synthetic/unnatural/man-made' idea. Since artificial sugar is basically man-made, it's the sugar equivalent to prosthetic/bionic body parts for people and animals. Both are basically similar to their natural counterparts, but don't work as well.

I see. I thought I was a brand or something, but googling got a bunch of results about... Not sugar.

If you ever faint down on the ground , with your brain blackens out for a time , you losing control of your legs , whacking furniture around , finding yourself panting for your conscience , crouched ; drink down some grape molasses until it burns your throat. i survived , at least.

Be sure to store some heavy forms of sugar ( honey , syrups , etc. ) around too , for just cases like this. I never troll , I only joke , but this time I'm not joking.

//edit : I very much drink Ice Tea and Coke , and this happened to me when I quitted that for a month and around , consuming only a little sugar during the time , which bread was the only supply.
