It's going to be a crossover character:

    Glinda the good witch.

This sets up the plot of BG3: A bhaalspawn in Oz.

    G.L.O.R.I.A - Gloria!

What about Glamdring? I used to use that one for one of my Wizardry characters back in the days of yore. According to Gandalf it means 'Foe Hammer' in elvish. How cool is that?

That one has already been done I'm afraid, many, many years ago. Lumberjacking is actually Kivan's day job. That is why you find him standing out in the forest near High Hedge. He's looking for the best trees :p

He even has a song he sings while doing it. It's gotten a bit dark lately though (the following is an excerpt).

"Yea I'm a lumberjack and its alright
I work all day and I work all night.

    With great ease, and expertise,
I'll kill Tazok in the dark.
    He'll never see me coming,
not while he's still my mark."

And the lumberjack song from Monty Python, just because it reminded me (lyrics taken from metrolyrics):

    "I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay,
I sleep all night and I work all day.

    CHORUS: He's a lumberjack, and he's okay,
He sleeps all night and he works all day.

I cut down trees, I eat my lunch,
    I go to the lava-try.
    On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
And have buttered scones for tea.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch,
    He goes to the lava-try.
    On Wednesdays 'e goes shoppin'
And has buttered scones for tea.

    CHORUS

I cut down trees, I skip and jump,
I like to press wild flowers.
    I put on women's clothing,
    And hang around in bars.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps,
He likes to press wild flowers.
    He puts on women's clothing
    And hangs around.... in bars?

    CHORUS

I chop down trees, I wear high heels,
    Suspenders and a bra.
    I wish I'd been a girlie
    Just like my dear papa."

And then the mounties can't finish the song.

    Glorfunkel the elven bard.

He used to be a member of a much more famous duo, but that didn't work out.

    Good to know @AndrewFoley .

Similarly, Glod Glodsonsonson, the dwarf in the poll, is actually a girl. Long story.

@deltago was that last comment... Was that last comment stereotyping gnomes as being some how expansive in their story telling abilities? I will let it be known sir, when a gnome wants to get to the point, he does so at the most expedient speed, expressly so as not to hinder the reader with unneeded fluff! As always, gnomes are the only race that values the importance, THE NEED, to garner citations from other possible witnesses to said story. As my gran-pappy, (well not my gran-pappy, in fact myself being several centuries older and he in fact being a she) @Vallmyr says

    Dwarves are beardy,
    Elves are eary,
    Halflings are rosy,
    And gnomes are nosey.

And the truth will out! (Unless it rains of course!)

So you see @deltago I felt that that was a gnomophobic comment and deserves an apology!

    ...

    Sorry for being so terse.

What about half-elves, half-orcs, and humans?

Just because it's from Slade Wilson, Deathstroke. Or maybe Wade Wilson, Deadpool. ;)
