Step 1 - Marry into royal family. Step 2 - Destroy the rest of the royal family in a combined skiing, polo and yachting accident. Step 3 - Invite all worthies to my coronation. Poison the food. Step 4 - Rule Kingdom unopposed.
Step 1 is the hardest bit... But I think Harry is not too fussy...
Wait....
Resolutions?
*facepalm*
That would require killing borris johnson as he's like 10,000th in line to the throne. Borris is unkillable, you might want to try a different plan.
Watch more game of thrones for details on the finer points of usurping. Happy new year. Thanks to all the devs and fellow forum goers who helped make this years releases possible and as good as the could possibly be.
I'm gonna lose 10kg (22lbs) before the summer. It's not that I'm overweight but I play football every summer and it's way easier on my knees that way.
I'll attempt to gain 10kg...
...it won't work...
You work out too or why do you wanna gain weight? I love to eat junk food so I tend to slowly gain weight unless I exercise regularly. I could use a burger right now
I'm 18 and have a fast metabolism so i can't reach more than 9 stone normally, I also need to work out more, i'm never gonna be huge but i'm weak and skinny at the moment
1. I'm a Gnome, yes, but did you know that I am a proud Chaos Gnome, an Imago. 2. I have been dead and mummified for over 6000 years. Whilst alive I served the Djinni Calim and battled the evil efreeti during the era of skyfire. 3. My wife is expecting our second Gnomy.
I haven't really thought about it, but reading other's ideas has given me some inspiration.
#1 Start martial arts. I've been trying to get my parents to sign me up for years now, and even told them that all I wanted for my birthday (Nov 3rd) was at least a month of lessons. Long story short, it didn't really work out, but da** it I'm going to start if it kills me! (actually it will probably just kill my bank account. Yay minimum wage.) Also a part of this resolution: be healthier overall.
#2 Get over a girl who doesn't like me and learn to be content with being single. I've been too da** focused on getting a girl for too da** long now. I think the cold weather hasn't helped. It made me miss having someone to snuggle with. It's only been a little over a year since my last girlfriend, but I've been focusing on my own depressing singleness for too long now. I may place "someone to love, marry, and spend the rest of my life with" as my greatest ambition in life, but that doesn't mean it should be my only one!
#3 Figure out what I want to do with myself. I may be becoming assistant manager at my place of employment in a couple months, but that doesn't mean I want to work at a bookstore my whole life. (Not to say I don't like my job, but...) All I have are vague ideas of things I think are too impossible for me to achieve, but I need to stop being lazy, stop being complacent, stop being pessimistic, and just go for it!
#4 Make plans to travel. Whether it's in the next year or the next ten, I want to see the world before my young active years are over. Sure, life doesn't end when I hit thirty, but I'd rather travel while I'm in my twenties, which have only just started. I've got five years before I want to settle down, and ten before I REALLY want to settle down, so I need to get going.
#5 Etc. There's a million ways I can improve myself, so this is just to represent all the many ways I want to become even cooler, better, nicer, and generally more amazing.
#2 It's a trap! =D Ok, seriously now. I still have vague memories of being in your situation. The longer I was single, the more desperate I was to find a girl, any girl. Until I hit a breaking point, where I did become content with my situation... too content with time. It's been how long?... 10 years... Yup, I basically became proverbial forever alone =P
#4 That's really awesome resolution! =] So many great places to visit in the world, but so little time and/or money =[
@FinneousPJ Mixed Martial Arts, beginning with Kickboxing and likely specializing in Muay Thai. I'd also like to see about finding a place that does Tae Kwon Do as well, (the place I plan to go doesn't teach Tae Kwon Do as far as I know) as from what I've heard/seen, it involves a great deal of kicks, which is fitting since I have naturally strong legs.
Kickboxing is definitely great for building stamina.
Yeah, I have pretty sh** stamina, so I'm going to be the one dorky guy in a class of girls doing cardio kickboxing as well as the normal kickboxing classes. (At least, I feel like it's going to be like that. Maybe not.)
Muay Thai is highly effective in personal combat. Anyone who's sparred against someone using those techniques would certainly know that. *rubs ribs that still ache years later*
I believe you, and sadly, Muay That isn't the only style that is utylizing those. Anyway, no matter what you are going to train, @Elrandir ,make sure that your instructor is a good one and that people in your group are friendly fellows. These are important things.
@Elrandir I'd recommend trying Krav Maga if you want to learn how to defend yourself against multiple (2-3) opponents. Krav Maga also teaches how to defend against weapons, and how to utilize temporary weapons. It's all very practical as well, and no weird kungfu tricks.
It's a tough sport though, so try Muay Thai or something else first. When you get the basics of that, Krav Maga is next.

And that is my new year revelations!
Anyways, happy New Year to you all!
