Brace yourself, a new year is coming... And so...
... do you have any strong resolutions for this new year?
As for me, I think I have a few.
1. Lose some weight. No. Maybe not some. Like, 10 kilos at minimum.
2. Work on my stamina, constitution or rather general fitness. These two points are because I remember feeling more comfortable in my own body, when it was lighter and more fit.
3. Improve enought in digital art so that I could start doing cheap commissions. And of course, making people want commission me in the first place.
4. Go out with my friends more.
5. Start talking to girls more. Otherwise forever alone guaranteed.
6. Start my internship in coaching company or something along these lines.
That's for me. What are yours?

Point 1 are 2 I'm doing for some time. Losing 1 Kg/month is not a big deal, for all I know. Losing 10 in 12 month is even easier.
4 is not big problem also.
As for 3, I'm working on it for months.
5 is actually the only difficult thing, but many people won't even understand that.
6 is obligatorary to me anywas. All I have to do is to choose the right place for internship.
Laugh all you want people. We all know I will be laughing at the end .
Yes, that's true. The very reason I have to lose weight is because I gained it a lot after quitting (probably forever) martial arts, while not changing my eating habits afterwards.
I have to start training for the Tough Mudder I'm planning on doing in august. Hopefully I'll be better prepared for this one.
1) Be more productive with my downtime. I tend to squander my limited time off instead of using it to recharge.
2) I would like to be better at remembering that life must be lived, despite all its challenges and worries. Life is too short to waste worrying about eventualities that may or may not even come to pass. This past year has been very stressful and I must be better at resisting the temptation to get carried away by it.
That's the best resolutions in this topic so far. I am serious.
I have some general thoughts about new years resolutions though, not specifically related to your list: It might be a good idea to make sure your resolutions are something that you will actually be able to complete. IMHO many put themselves to a too high standard - can result in lower self esteem. Instead of fixing everything at new year's eve I think it is better to set attainable goals throughout the year, if someone has not been physically active *at all* for a long time it can be a more robust approach to just start going for walks a day or two a week, then set higher goals as you get into better shape.
That being said, (some) ambition is good!
My new years resolution: Call mom once a week.
2. Finish the move to another country
3. Settle in the new country

I really thought this was going to be a krampus thread....
I don't have any resolutions for 2015! Cheers!
#1 & #2 I definitely need to start moving...
#4 & #5 For me it would be to get some good friends in my current place of living. My problem is that since 4 years ago I am separated from my old friends for most of the year and I haven't really made any strong connections in new place yet =/
#6 Probably the most important one for me this year - finishing my Master degree course, so getting a job is paramount
@everyone, Good luck with your resolutions!
Of course that's just my experience, maybe it can start someone on the road to something great.
@demented Truth to be told, "new" and "old" year are nothing more but mental constructs. They don't really exist. Naturaly, I'm aware of what are you saying. I'm just using certain day as a mark to oficially start the challenge I have prepared for myself. And the "end of the year" is merely point in which I would be able to answer one simple quesiton: how much of my challenge I managed to finish?
Also, @O_Bruce aiming high is good, but aiming too high and failing may damage your self-confidence, and that may result in more failures in the future. Now I don't know you, and I don't know where you start, but setting realistic objectives is the best way to go all around. Success will bring confidence, and confidence is the first and most important thing you need with #5. And confidence should not be confused with arrogance.
If u think ur objectives are realistic, then ignore this and attaboy, or however it's spelled..
Step 1 - Marry into royal family.
Step 2 - Destroy the rest of the royal family in a combined skiing, polo and yachting accident.
Step 3 - Invite all worthies to my coronation. Poison the food.
Step 4 - Rule Kingdom unopposed.
Step 1 is the hardest bit... But I think Harry is not too fussy...
Wait....
Resolutions?
*facepalm*
