Sneering at the broom comment, Jaheira replied, "Why bother? Let nature reclaim what she will." She's more concerned that evil (and unnatural) magics might revive the skeletons, but not overly so. Her club was an excellent equalizer in that regard.
"Don't you wizards have some sort of dust cleaning cantrips?" Ajantis wondered aloud, before glancing at Neera with a concerned expression. "On second thought, probably best not to sling magic around for such trivialities."
I just realized, after doing some bookkeeping last night, that both Aerie and Jaheira have gained a level in Cleric and Druid respectively. Congratulations to both! Aerie gains 3 hit points, and Jaheira 4. Each gets another level 1 spell.
The crack turns out to be a door. A stone door, which is why it went largely unnoticed before. The door is closed (obviously). But Alora also feels a hidden space in the wall.
Sorry, everyone. Was suffering a Vertigo-like state for the last five days. My world was a merry-go-round. I do not recommend it. Thumbs down.
In the pit is a second skeleton, dressed in leather armor, with a short sword, lying by it is a leather roll. In the compartment that Alora opened is a wooden box.
OOC: @LadyRhian - Glad to have you back. The merry-go-round ups-and-downs don't sound like fun.
Alora will study the leather armour and short sword to see if they seem special. She assumes the leather roll is a scroll of some sort so will hand it to Aerie. She will then study the wooden box. She will check for traps (especially of the poison needle variety that people seem to like to put in small wooden boxes). She will then open it with the lid facing away from her in case anything springs out.
The roll of leather has some rusty, breakable lock picks in it. The leather armor is rotted and the short sword rusting through. There is, however, a pouch on the Dwarf's belt. In it are 15 gp.
The wooden box is neither locked nor trapped. It contains a fine tapestry made of silk threads on a sturdy cloth. It appears to be wrapped around something, which turns out to be a small silver mirror. The tapestry looks familiar- it appears to be a stylized representation of the view from the balcony outside, of the serpent-like river, and the island that represents its eye.
From here, you can go back outside or up the stairs through the door you found.
"Anomen, you scaredy cat! There was nothing in the box to hurt you!"
Alora dances around, snapping the lid of the box open and closed. "Anomen was scared of a box! Careful, it might bite you!"
Once she has finished amusing herself Alora will pocket the silver mirror (it is useful for looking round corners) and then got up the stairs, checking for traps as she goes.

I don't even remember what spells I have. Sleep and 2 CLW, right?
@Reedmilfam Jaheira has CLWx2 and Enlarge (also +2 First Level Spells from Wisdom)
Alora opens the space in the wall and falls as a pit trap opens up underneath her. She takes 3 points of damage.

1 Bless
1 Entangle
2 CLW
1 Sanctuary
1 Remove Fear
1 Sleep

Don't point that thing near me *Anomen attempts to knock the box out of Alora's hands and onto the floor*
>>IF Alora doesn't point the wooden box towards Anomen<<
*Anomen rolls his eyes*
