    Anomen, now calm and more focused, lashes out at the nearest kolbold with his mace and shield.

    Arkanis splits the last kobold right in half.

    There is silence on the trail as the last Kobold slumps to the ground. They have poor short swords (worthless) and nothing else. The Cave mouth is about 10 feet away, and about 5' high and 6' across.

    Having comforted Anomen, Alora turns her attention to the cave. "I'd better go and make sure ther aren't anymore kobolds hidin in there."

    Alora goes and looks into the cave. She attempts to move silently and hide in the shadows as she does so.

    Beyond the entrance, the cave becomes larger, wider and deeper. Inside, Alora can see seven piles of straw, a sack and a barrel.

    "Arkanis, there are seven piles of straw and we only saw six kobolds. One must be hiding."

    Alora will attempt to spot the creature that is hiding if there is one. If that fails she will go to each pile of straw and give it a poke to see if anything comes out.

    Anomen stands guard at the enterance of the cave and curiously thinks to himself, did those creatures actually live here? And then wonders who the real monsters are as he glances Alora stabbing the piles of hay for a frightened creature.

    Suddenly, an arrow shoots out from the back of the cave. It doesn't hit anyone.

    "We're under attack! Charge!" Alora charges to where the arrow came from.

    in the back of the cave is a hobgoblin calmly slotting an arrow into his bow. He fires it directly at Alora.

    How deep is the cave? Can Anomen hurl his spear at Hobgoblin? If so.
