"I heard you. You deal with the cleaning and I'll deal with the secret door. We should make the most of our talents."

You find a secret door in what seems to be a blank stone wall. The walls outside the room are almost 10 feet thick. Inside is a closet, full of clerical robes. At the back of the closet is a set of Plate Mail in gleaming silver chased in gold and a thick-headed mace.

"Aerie, Edwin," says Alora excitedly, "Come and look at this. Do you think it's magic?"

*fetches his own damn water grumbling as he cleans the paint*

Anomen is eventually able to clean the statues. While Edwin and Aerie look over the items and determine that they are, indeed, magical. But Aerie points out they probably belonged to the high priest.

OOC: can a dwarf fit into the armour?
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
    No. It's human-sized.

"I think you should wear the armour Anomen," says Alora. "It's only for borrowsies and you can give it back when we have saved everyone. And you should definitely have the thick-headed mace. It suits you."

So, @deltago are you going to wear the plate mail?

*Removes his magical chain shirt and puts on the heavy and cumbersome plate mail. He'll also give the heavy mace a few swings*

"Here Dwarf," He hands his old chain shirt to the Arkanis, "This should protect you better than what you are currently wearing, if you can fit into it."

Anomen feels like a tank in plate mail. An unusual feeling, but he kind of likes it.

Arkanis finds the chainmail slowly conforming to him the longer he wears it.

Once the party has finished swapping clothes Alora will lead them back to the room with the double doors and try the ones to the northeast.

Alora, and the party, find themselves in a long corridor running north and south. 40' to the north, Alora can see another pair of double doors to the eastern side of the hall. 20' beyond that, there is a single door to the west.

To the south, she can see the other set of double doors leading out of the chapel. 10' beyond that, she can see a single door, which she can deduce leads to the alcove where the party found the defaced book. Another 10' further on is another pair of double doors to the east. She can't make out many details beyond that.

Alora will go to the double doors 40' away on the eastern side of the hall.

Okay, The doors are not locked, and she doesn't find any traps. This large ballroom is decorated in silver, red and blue. Two large fireplaces are stacked with logs, one at each end of the room. A bell-shaped wire framework hangs from the ceiling, supported by four white marble columns. The framework is decorated with intertwined leaves and flowers.

You hear the strains of eerie music. Two pale, shadowy apparitions are dancing to the sounds of that strange music. The figures are dressed in clothing that was popular more than 300 years ago.

Like this, but only two of them:

"Ghosts! It's ghosts! Nobody panic!" says Alora, panicking.

Minion, roll 1d20 for Alora save vs. Fear.

Alora's heart is beating triple time, and she feels like she might faint, but she is able to stand her ground.

"Whoa, this is really spooky. I'd probably be scared if you guys weren't here with me." Alora attempts to jig along with the music in the hope that it will make the ghosts friendly.

The ghosts don't appear to have noticed the party at all. Is anyone else looking at the ghosts?
  • NonnahswriterNonnahswriter Member Posts: 2,520
Aerie gazed at the ghosts over Alora's head, already half-reading for her holy symbol.

Minion, roll 1d20 for Aerie save.

Aerie is able to gaze at the dancing ghosts with seeming impunity. However, she feels an inner sadness that these ghosts are always here, dancing.
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Alora will go into the ballroom and try to find a way to stop the music so the dancer can stop dancing.
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
"Anomen!" Alora shouts, "Stop polishing your helmet and come and help with the ghosts."
  • deltagodeltago Member Posts: 7,811
Those spirits seem harmless. Last Aerie has better influence with the undead than I.
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
The music seems to be coming from everywhere and nowhere.
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Alora will search the room (keeping out of the way of the dancing ghosts).
