"I'm out of healing spells," Aerie answered as she dropped to her friends' aid. "Do we have anything to bind their wounds while I pray to have them restored?"
"Perhaps we should simply burn the whole lot out," Edwin says. darkly. He steps forward to the door and casts 'Summon Undead'. The rest of you watch in amazement as skeleton after skeleton pulls itself out from under the weeds. Someone dumped a lot of bodies here.
Some of them still have ragged shreds of flesh clinging to them, but they slowly form up in front of the door.
"Oil and a torch, quickly." Edwin directs. His brow is sheened with sweat. "It is harder to control them than usual. Something is fighting me."
Arkanis get some torches, and tries to find some oil too quickly. He gives one torch to Edwin. "You should have get the oil first and cast your spell afterwards. Nice skellies otherwise."
Edwin's skeletons take the oil and sprinkle the closest bushes, then set them on fire with the lit torch. They burn with a smoky, greasy flame that smells rank. When they approach some of the further ones, the plants fire off their needles at the skeletons. They are only able to take out three more before they are torn to pieces by the thorns. Edwin wipes his sweaty face with his sleeve. "We should find a place to rest," he observes.
Okay, you rest all day (24 hours), resting, casting healing spells and resting again, bringing everyone back to full hp and full spells. Then, you return to your previous spot.
Alora surveys the burned garden and torn out bushes. "I saw something shiny here before the bushes attacked me. I wonder if it is still there in the ashes?"
Alora will go looking for the shiny thing so long as she can do so without getting into firing distance of the remaining bushes.
Meanwhile, around the corner. the corridor leads east 30' before heading south again. At 60', there is an offshoot corridor heading east. From here, you can see two doors across from each other 40' away, one north, one south.
You think the north door might lead back into the garden. You have no idea where the Southern door goes.
The door leads into a 20' long corridor that ends in another door to the south. A strange smell permeates this corridor, of burning herbs. It leaves a pungent smell in the air.
When Alora opens the door, she sees a 30' by 30' room. A Black-haired man in a blood-red robe is chanting in some language you cannot recognize. He is standing inside a blood-red circle, around which are painted various symbols you do not recognize. The man has a long, lean ascetic face, and his long black hair is straight and unbound. Though his robes look like those of a wizard, a black iron mace hangs from his belt. In the center of his forehead has been pained a blood-red eye.
In the center of the circle, in front of the man, lies a longsword that looks like it is made completely of ruby. It rests on a black velvet cushion. As the man continues to chant, the sword begins to glow from within, bathing the chamber in blood-red light.
When he sees you, the man calls out, "Help!" There are two doors here, one to the left side of the room (west) and one to the right (east). A voice behind the left/west door says, "Hang on, we're coming!"

While pondering this she listens and checks for traps on the door to the south before opening it.

Introductions over, Alora swings her sling an attempts to hit the man in the eye in the middle of his forehead.
