"For once, listen to the Halfling, you nitwits," Jaheira shouted. Dealing with this chaos was getting beyond irritating for her. "Burn the stumps so that nature can reclaim the life that she gave," she added, for she wanted to sound like this was her plan all along, and that she'd thought of doing so. Petty or not, it was what it was.
Okay, the Hydra heads are regrowing slowly. Alora lights her torch and sears the stump of the first head. You hear a loud sizzle, and the other neck thrashes wildly. Anomen strikes out once, missing, then again, whacking off what remains of the regenerating head. Alora can quickly come forward and sear the stump of that one as well. There is a horrible smell of burnt meat and the second stump collapses as well. Alora is able to sear both stumps to the bone.
There is quiet in the corridor. 30 more points to just Alora and Anomen.
Alora considers exchanging high fives with Anomen but thinks better of it.
Alora decides against doing a further search of the toilets, deciding to look for treasure in more salubrious parts of the dungeon.
"I'm going to look down this way she says," starting down the western passage to where a monster of gigantic proportions may lurk. "I'll shout if I find anything."
OOC: I'm pretty sure you've still got it, neither Anomen, I nor the hydra had to make a save. Rather more importantly you've still got a big chunk bitten out of you and could really do with healing!
@cyberhawk Not to mention you'd have taken out the entire party, including yourself. There wasn't enough room to cast it properly.
Alora heads west, scouting. She notices signs posted every 100 feet. "500 feet to the terrible monster of gigantic proportions!" "400 feet to the terrible monster of gigantic proportions!" "300 feet to the…", etc. She's not sure if she is supposed to feel excited or terrified at the constant warnings. The end of the corridor is shrouded with a curtain, and a sign reads, "0 feet to the terrible monster of gigantic proportions!"
Peeking through the curtain, she sees a huge, mainly circular room with a gigantic cage made of heavy steel bars in the center. The cage is empty, except for some bones and a pair of HUGE tusks twice as long as Alora herself. And the bones… have teeth marks in them.
Also, the air in the room feels heavy and is thick with the smell of some sort of animal, tufts of fur have been rubbed off on the bars. The fur is thick and long.
Sea Serpent passage. Alora heads Southeast(ish) into a long corridor that snakes and twists on itself so that you briefly head west then north and west(ish). After almost 200', the corridor opens out into a gigantic cavern, large and low-ceilinged. The walls here are covered with a luminous green fungus. Flowing through the center of the cavern is a stream. A newly made wooden Bridge crosses the stream. On the far side, you see a holding pool of some type. Built around the holding pool is a five-foot wide dry moat.
A water trough has been cut into the natural stone floor. leading from the stream to the holding pool. Another trough winds its way around the outside of the chamber, exiting down a dark, wide passage. A sign beside the passage reads: "Zando's performing Porpoises- Showtimes 10:00, 12:00, 2:00, 4:00." At present, both water troughs are dry, their connections to the stream blocked by wooden boards.
Two other passages lead out of the room. One follows along the outside of the stream, the other, a small, damp passage, heads south from the eastern side of the room.
"Kvack!" Two of the Uniducks have followed Alora here. (The other two are laying their horns on Jan, helping him feel a little less sore and hurt.)
"I don't think you ducks had better go for a swim until we have checked there are no sea serpents in the water. "
Alora feels that discretion is the better part of valour and so heads back to report what she has found. While she is waiting for the party to decide which way they want to go she will finally search the toilet stalls to see if the hydra had any treasure. She will, however, be very careful, listening for any sign of movement from the bowels of the earth and if she hears anything she will run back to the party.
The trough is like a dry channel in the rock. It references a wooden structure used to feed animals. You dump food in, and the animals eat it. Just imagine a shallow, dry moat chiseled out of the rock.
Comments
OOC: Essentially an outhouse. No flushing. Just a big hole in the ground where feces collects.
if beheading them won't work, how about just bashing the heads in!
ooc: Attacks the hydra head that bit Aerie.

"Nice teamwork there."

Alora heads cautiously down the sea serpent passage.

While they're waiting for Alora's return Arkanis offer his furry bottle to Jan: "Not a healing potion, but it eases the pain."
"Furry Bottle"
OOC: We forget about Jan's hurting shoulder in the furry of the bottle:)
