Minsc tries to protect the conscious members of the party while they help the others to get out. He wanted to jump in and use his boots on the bad fish, but Boo keeps telling him it's not a good idea... and that their enemies are not fish.
Jan pulls the spear out of the water and puts it next to the pool. He takes a bolt in his hand as if it is a dagger and jumps into the watter, trying to hit the dolphins with the bolt, having another one ready under his belt.
OOC: And heavier to pull out of water as they die. Didn't think today was my last day in the group X-P
OOC: Don't despair. Your husband is there and he can save you. He's got STR15, surely enough to haul a wet bear out of a swimming pool. (Mind you, I am only guessing. It's not a situation that was covered in the D&D Player's Handbook. An oversight on the part of the author I feel).
Khalid begins pulling Jaheira out of the water, And Arkanis struck out at the dolphin which bit him, hitting a solid blow which hurts the dolphin, but doesn't kill it. Minsc latches onto Aerie and pulls her out as well.
Jan jumps into the water after the last dolphin and is immediately over his head (literally). He misses the dolphin and is forced to try and tread water… badly.
Next round, the dolphin loses initiative, and Arkanis finally strikes it a killing blow. Everyone gets 55 exp.
Current Party hit point totals: Aerie -2, Alora -9, Anomen -1, Arkanis 9, Khalid 13, Jaheira -2, Minsc 11, Jan 8.
You are able to pull the other characters out of the water and bandage them, stabilizing them at 0 hit points. You also pump water out of Alora's lungs.
24 hours pass as you set up a camp. Alora wakes feeling like feces. Her body hurts. Her lungs hurt, and breathing is agony. Jaheira has reverted to human, and Aerie, too, wakes feeling like she was run down by a runaway horse-driven cart.
Any and all fantasies that Aerie might have indulged as a child about dolphins and porpoises have now turned to ash. In fact, she felt incredibly sorry for having led her party to them.
"I'm sorry, everyone..." she sighed, hugging her still-drying cloak close to her. "It seems the porpoise show wasn't such a grand idea after all..."
"Y-You c-couldn't have known," Khalid points out. "N-nothing in this d-dungeon is as it seems, I fear." He gently strokes Jaheira's hair with one hand.
"I'm alive?" Alora is genuinely surprised to find herself breathing again. As soon as she is able, Alora will take her soggy exercise book out of her backpack and turn to the page that says 'Enemies of Alora'. She will rub out the name 'Jarheerur" and write Dolphins instead. She will then turn to the page titled 'Friends of Alora' and write Jarheerur and Anoman. Both names will be surrounded by stars and flowers.
Anomen will notice that Alora has taken to following him around like a lost puppy.
Arkanis take the watch, while the others are recovering. He sits on a comfortable rock and murmur some melancolic melody to himself. After some time he get up and come nearer to the others. "Anyone else hungry? What do you say to some roasted dolphin?"
*All through out the partying resting, Anomen keeps to himself in a corner. To him, the encounter that just transpired went terribly wrong. HE was suppose to be the hero, rescuing the ones in need, but he failed in his duty and not only let them down, but the order, his God and himself.*
*He kept mulling over it. How could he save his sister from his drunkard of a father acting like this? He looks to Culum thinking he will save him from his own irresponsible parent but first he needs to find the man.*
*Anomen attempts to get up, but is forced back down due to the pain shooting through his body. It was like Torm punishing him. He begins whispering, much as in prayer the following, over and over again until he falls into rest*
OOC: That is some legit Anomen roleplaying. Well done!
"M-Minsc..." Upon hearing the ranger's boisterous exclaim that she was alive, Aerie choked on a flood of oncoming tears. "I-I'm so glad... Everyone is...o-okay..."
Unable to hold back anymore, she buried her face into his muscular shoulder, and sobbed.
Feeling like death, warmed over, Jaheira casts one of her two divinely granted healing spells upon herself. After this, she felt nearly half-elven again. "I did not expect that," she grumbled, irritated that her knowledge of nature was so completely useless here. "And you," she continued, feeling something different for the Halfling, "missed seeing your bear." She then cast the second, and last, healing spell on the little thief, as this would surely invigorate her.
Despite being healed before everyone else Alora will resist the temptation to run off an explore further. She will instead spend the time attempting to dry out her possessions. She will also search the cavern we are in to see if she can find any clues as to why the dolphins became so mean.

"One day," Jaheira promised, "you will find dolphins in their natural state." They were amazing creatures. "I'm sorry I assumed these had not been tainted." And angry at whatever bastard had done it. Very angry. Nature was not meant to be subverted so. A mage. It was always a damned mage, tinkering too deeply into magical things, and disrupting the balance.
