Alora is already wondering where they should head next.
"If we go back to the last cavern there are two paths we haven't tried. One goes alongside the stream and there is also a small, damp tunnel leading south. When everyone is well again I should probably go and check what is down them. I want to find this man called Zando and tell him I don't think his performing porpoises were very well trained."
Jaheira injected herself into the conversation. "There is no certainty that this Zando will not be in need of a sharp kick to the nether regions." If she'd learned anything in this pit, it was that there was no taking anything for granted. Any, and every, thing might be an enemy, dad or some bratling or no.
Anomen gets back 8 hp. Jan finds the only wood in the room is the bridge with the hoops hung from it. You also find 300 sp on the bottom of the pool. That appears to be the only other things in the room.
"We haven't even seen the sea serpent yet. Maybe the dolphins ate him?"
If everyone is rested and healed Alora would like to get searching again. If everyone is ready to go, she will check the small tunnel heading south from the previous cavern to see where it leads.
Okay, moving time along…You rest for the better part of the day, while Aerie and Jaheira pray for spells, heal you, and pay for spells again. Finally, you are ready to move on. Luckily, nothing has come to bother you while you rested.
Alora moves into the small, dark(ish) entrance (only because it's closer). The middle of this cavern, approximately 40' by 25', is an oaken table with four small Aquariums on top. There are also 2 orcs, who seem very surprised to see you.
*Anomen grips his shield and mace standing a few feet away from the doorway leading into the room that the party is in. He holds a defensive stance waiting for the Orcs to charge in*
Weapon ready, Jaheira was far less interested in speaking to the orcs than Anomen. Eyes slanting, she gripped her club tightly and got ready to smash the creatures to provide food for the earth.
Jan is happy about finding 300 sp, however still quite hungry. He wonders, if the orks posess some firewood. Without saying anything, he loads his crossbow and aims at the orks, ready to shoot if they prove to be hostile. Considering the last encounter with monsters (the minitaurs and mini-giants), he feels it is rather likely the orcs will prove friendly and help the party to some firewood.
The orcs say nothing, but continue moving in your direction, smoothly, yet somehow bumbling at the same time. They collide into each other with light smacking noises, as if they are drunk or drugged. In any case, they are getting closer.
Quick as flame, Minsc's sword licks out before they can threaten Aerie (I'm assuming that's what "Go for the eyes, Boo!" means here.)
The Orc doesn't so much die as explode (literally). Everyone in the area takes 4 points of damage, and you feel something peppering you. Immediately, Alora, Anomen and Minsc start to feel woozy. The first orc exploding takes out the second as well, but thankfully, you are far enough from the blast not to be affected by it.
Still, Jaheira suspects that these orc-like things were akin to gas spores- beholder-like (in shape, anyway) creatures that explode when struck. Sadly, she also knows the source of the feelings affecting Alora and the others- they have been infected by the creatures and the disease must be cured within 24 hours, or they will die and more of the blasted things will rise from the corpse of her companions.
Blasted orcs! They remind me of my distant uncle Flatunsen, he really liked bean soup. Of course, preferring some vegetable over a turnip cannot be explained in logical terms, but this is just how uncle Flatunsen is.
I don't feel so good. I think I might sit down for a bit," says Alora, sitting down for a bit. "Those orcs looked surprised. The boulder/beholder looked surprised too. I think we should beware of things that look surprised."
OOC: How woozy is Alora at this stage? Can she still function? If she can she will go and see what is in the aquariums. Hopefully some potions of cure disease.
OOC: I dont suppose uniducks can cast Cure Disease can they? (I'm pretty sure Unicorns can cast some cure spells). If they can't I think we are in trouble. We are all down 4 hit points and in 24 hours three of us will turn into exploding gas bags. What we need is a cunning plan.
Jaheira was strangely quiet at this point, as the weight if the I'll tidings wore upon her soul. Nature was not claiming the life that she gave, but three would soon be taken, nevertheless. Hardest to bear was Alora, for her mannerisms and stature made her seem more a child than anything else. She did not wish to tell anyone, but the burden was too great.
Quietly, she made her way to Aerie. "Unless we find a way to cure disease, they will not last more than, perhaps, a day." The news was not good, and the bearer felt all the worse for it, but there was nothing that she could do.

OOC: Let's hope Culum is not some mutant child monster...

What was that... an illusion?
And why... attack... something not... hostile... stup-

Jan lays down where he stood, resting the head on his arm. There is no way to tell if he sleeps, passed out, or is simply resting.
