"Nature help us if he ever procreated," Jabeira growled, losing more patience with Anomen as his verbal blathering became more frequent. She also would pity the mother, who would be partially to blame for her dalliance. "Come, husband." Their relationship was such that she rarely, if ever, waited long for him.
Alora is eager to get back to adventuring. If she can find some new lockpicks (and can afford them) she will buy them; if not she wants to get back to see what was in the aquariums.
Alora leads everyone back to the cavern. It's mostly taken up by a wooden table with four large glass aquariums on top of it. One reads "Normal Crab" another "Normal Gar", the third "Normal Pike" and the last "Normal Crayfish".
Alora goes over to look at the aquariums. Even she has learned that things are never as they seem down here so she will be very cautious and will check for traps and secret doors. She will look at the aquariums from the sides. She is not putting her head over them or getting too close at this point.
They seem to be exactly what they look like, a Gar, Pike, Crab and Crayfish. Admittedly, you are more used to seeing the Giant -sized versions, but... these look just the same, only smaller.
Alora doesn't know what to do. In fact, there doesn't seem to be anything she can do. Unless anyone has got any better ideas she is going to leave the aquariums alone and go to back to the next cavern and try the path beside the stream (OOC: Which I think is the only path we haven't yet tried?)
The last opening is where the water is flowing from. At the center of this smallish cavern is a rocky island, with moss and lichen growing on it. Two of the Uniducks that went missing earlier are swimming in the stream that flows around the island. A sign on the bit of land proclaims it to be "Uniduck island".
OOC: there was also the fountain in the very largest cavern that had coins in it, just in case you have forgotten...
"Would that not entail looking at things that don't belong to us?" Jaheira was feeling particularly contentious, even though Anomen was certainly trying. She ought to be nicer, she knew, but somebody had to balance Aerie's ridiculous optimism and kindness! Therefore, she decided to be that person.
*Rolls eyes* There is now a purpose to look through those belongings. Can you not control your woman Khalid, she is becoming very... what's the word I am looking for...
"What I think your addled mind means to say is that you were wrong. Just because you did not see a purpose, before, does not mean that there was none." The arrogance of that blow-hard was almost un-balanceable! "As for controlling me, you wouldn't have the slightest idea."
Aerie doubted very much that Jaheira could be controlled at all, by man or woman or gods knew what else. But she wasn't about to pick a fight with Anomen either.
"You're fighting again..." Aerie sighed, taking a step between the pair of them. "May both of you please stop?"
It wasn't her most stalwart effort to calm the bullheads, but their bickering had finally begun to tire her out.

"Ravishing?"
OOC: bad historical word there, but I like the almost pun with rave.
Alora will go back to the fountain in the big cavern and look to see if she can see a key among the coins. If to do this she has to go into the water she will first take off her back pack, she will then tie her rope around her waist and give the end to Minsc so he can haul her out if something attacks her. She is worried about getting caught by the green weeds that were at one and so she will be wary of them.
She will enter the water with her short sword in her hand in case she is attacked. She will then look for the key but she will also take the opportunity to fill her pockets with as many coins as she can.
"Independent? Strong?" Khalid suggested. "Only a weak man seeks to c..co..control his wife." Khalid looks as unamused as Jaheira is likely to be when she gets over her rage-induced inability to speak. "I am surprised at such an attitude from one who is supposed to be a valiant c… ch… chivalrous knight."
The water in the fountain is deeper than it looks, and Alora finds herself in over her head very quickly. As she goes down to gather the coins, she sees something rounded and eye-like in the water, with tentacles that resemble seaweed and two lobster-like claws. It waves at her, almost cheerily.
After her experience with the dolphins Alora doesn't trust anything in a pool that waves at her. She has no idea what she is looking at but she is going to get out of the water as quickly as she can.
She won't turn her back on the thing. Instead she will back away slowly and hope that Minsc will haul her out in time.
With the fountain splash, and Alora in over her head (both figuratively and literally, which was a trend with her), Jaheira moved past her husband in mild amusement. First, she was amused by Anomen's cluelessness, second by Khalid's loveable, yet futile, attempt to give the braggart some wisdom, and, finally, by Alora's antics. "She's trying to make me become a bear, again, isn't she?"
OOC: When you're a stranger. People are ugly, when you're alone. And most relevant to Anomen's situation. "Women seem wicked, when you're unwanted..." ;D
The thing doesn't come any closer to Alora. In fact, it seems disappointed.

OOC: Disappointed because it's not getting a chance to bite my head off?
Alora gets out of the water. "Someone else can go and play with the weird eyeball, tentacle lobster thing because I'm not going to. If you think we need to look for the key in the fountain someone else is going to have to do it."
"I-I could...give it a try," Aerie offered. Although not the most comfortable around deep water, she did have her trusty Sanctuary spell that would protect her from any hostile creatures underneath.
OOC: I think I got it back... Did I get my spell back?

OOC It's a good reason to be disappointed, isn't it?
Alora hears a friendly voice in her head. "Hi!" it says. "I'm Howard!" The thing in the fountain waves at you again. "You want the shiny things?" it asks. "I can get them for you!"

Of course Lady Aerie, my apologies to you.
